I don't understand why the bookmakers are favoring under this much. With players such as Belhanda and El Arabi, Morocco have the quality to riddle Qatar's net with holes, and strong motive too (bringing back the fans), and on the other hand they're missing Benatia, main defense man, and goalie Fegrouche, who is expected to take on as first goalie.
The away team will be forced to defend, but have Soria as a forward who can score against anyone, and should not be dismissed. The 'Qatar scores' is also a nice paying bet, but over is definitely worth playing. Details

If we stick to the stats, this margin is perfectly balance, but figures are not sacred. I was once told that when picking over/under in a match, the most important thing is to guess the direction the game develops in. Which is why I see a lot of value in this margin, as I personally expected a 142-143 margin. Although they don't really show it in this tournament, with Repeša at the helm, Croatia are primarily a defense focused team. It worked during preparations, not so much during the tournament. Many will say they played unfamiliar teams, but the Greeks are old 'friends' and there are no secrets there. They know what they can expect of us, and we know them too. Repeša keeps asking for proper defense, and I believe that the players will mentally click after the embarrassment against Senegal. The Greeks have been unusually efficient here, but for them defense is primary too, and then a basis for offense. One must not forget how important the match is too, as Greece moves towards the top spot by winning, as do the Croats, and there is also the history - a recent friendly ended at 134, last year at the EC they played at 140 in the regular period, and I don't see why things should be different today. Lubbecke lost to Minden who were without Bilbi, Doder, Sudmeier (three backs) and the goalie Eijlers in the last home match by 3 goals difference, Then they lost in Hannover by 7, and also lost two most important players. Vukovic and Pajovic won't play today, and they're the center defenders. Vukovic is the first middle back with no real substitute. Coach Beuchler was left with four back players, two left-handed ones, Langhans and Schongart, the young Pieczkowski who came from Essen this summer, and Dissinger who didn't come back fully after two knee surgeries. For an opponent of Flensburg's caliber, that's not enough, and I really don't give them a chance. Flensburg aren't being brilliant, but they left Friesenheim and Melsungen at 23 and 22 goals. They'll solve a lot of things today with the same defense, and the offense will be much easier to play on the defense without Vukovic and Pajovic. Details

Silkeborg had great results last year, but they need more good players to face best Danish teams. Their roster remained the same, if not even slimmer. They brought six reinforcements, but except for Stine Bonde, who was Randers' goalie last year, and Camille Maibom, who was a middle back for Nykobing, the rest are young players with minimal roles in their former clubs. They also lost three good players - the pivot Dragojevic (second most efficient last season), goalie Andersen and the experienced back Bendixen who ended her career. Let's also add they'll be without the right back Miriam Juul who missed the first part of the season because of an injury. The results of the pre-season show, defeats against TT Holstebro 18-39, Kopenhagen 21-24, the Spanish Balonmano Remudas 22-31, and a win against the same rival in the second match 27-24. Randers got bronze last year, and have been in the top of Danish handball for years. They changed their main players for the new season, but those are all young players with a huge potential. For example, Jane Schumacher is new in the national team, Lin Gosse is experienced in the Norwegian national team. The team has quality on all positions. Three players are out because of injuries, but their substitutes are experienced players. In the pre-season, they defeated one of the candidates for the top (Esbjerg), and before this match, they had an easy practice in the Danish cup against the third league club Sondermarken, defeating them by 22 goals difference. With standard approach, we expect the difference to be double-digit in this match. Details

Serbian coach Dordevic brought four centers to Spain, with the clear intent on trying to resist Brazil and Spain's backcourt. He didn't use Krstic so far, but he's announced in rotation against Splitter, Nene and Vajerao. Raduljica is playing better than anyone expected, he's the first Serbian player here, and with him, they can match any of the mentioned Brazilians (except for maybe Nene who's faster and plays a bit away from the hoop). Besides Krstic and Raduljica, there are great defensive players like Stimac, and I doubt Katic will get minutes. As for the backcourt, Brazil have Huertas and Barbosa, but Barbosa is far from his real form, and the Serbians can match him with many options, from the defensively great Jovic (4 turnovers against France), to Markovic, Bogdanovic and Teodosic. Serbia lost against the French because the Italian referee was sloppy (he was eliminated from WC), while Brazil defeated the French in the tie. That's how I see this match, evened out, but I wouldn't be surprised by Serbia's win, because except for the defensive firmness, they don't have anything else that's much better than in Brazil. First of all, this margin makes no sense to me for purely mathematical reasons. Dieng went over this margin in all three games he played so far. He scored 21 in 38 minutes against Greece, 18 in 34 minutes against Puerto Rico, and 27 against Croatia. Senegal are playing against Argentina today, a match that can confirm the second stage for them in case they win. Dieng will spend a lot of time on court once again, perhaps the full 40 minutes, and the match-ups he will face favor him. If Scola defends against him, he will profit from the fact the Argentinian plays little defense in order to save strength for offense. If Nocioni guards him, he'll have a huge advantage in strength and height. If we also add in the offensive rebounding that creates second-chance points, and the fact he is great at free throws (and forces a lot of fouls), we have a great bet. Details

Finland didn't only get two points by turning the result over against Cuba, but also a huge boost of self-confidence for the rest of the competition. They broke the ice in playing the WC again, which always means a lot, especially because of how they won. Today, they'll face a regular "customer", they defeated Korea in the last six matches, four of those were away games. The Koreans had lots of problems against Tunisia, the African team were better in the first two periods, they kept to 20-20 in the third, and it tells a lot. They traditionally don't have good results against European teams, mostly because they're inferior in the block, but also tactically. Finland will be supported by over 2 000 fans in Katowice today, and you could see how much that means to them against Cuba. With three points against Korea, the Finns would make a huge step towards the third, or even second place. In the last six matches, Finland won four with 3-0 or 3-1. The Finns just know how to play against Korea and I expect them to show that today. Finland's win can be used for a stronger combo bet. Details

Egypt and Iran knew since the lot that the match against each other will be their only chance to win on this tournament. It's pretty easy to conclude they'll both be fully motivated, and it helps that they had a day off yesterday because both of their rotations are questionable. Iran have a few young players they don't use at all, and the Egyptian coach said they're amateurs. The point is, I expect an ugly game with little points, because neither of these teams can brag with their offensive quality. Haddadi is the only exception, and the Iranians will push him to the paint. Looking at what these two teams did on Asian and African championships respectively, it's easy to see Egypt didn't concede over 73 points against anyone. They lost the finals to Angola by conceding 57 points. Compared to that tournament, they lost the first center and the main offensive player Marei, during the preparations, the focus was on the defense, so in the last two friendly matches, they conceded 61 against the weakened Estonia and 74 against the fast Philippines. I think that's relevant enough for this match, and Egypt will manage to take Iran with under 75 points. Details

The Philipinnes have a be or not to be game ahead. A defeat means saying goodbye to being placed to the second round, and I think all of the players will toughen up and do their best today. Like they did in the first three duels. Blatche supposedly cried in the locker room after the defeat against Argentina, it only shows how much he cares. If he didn't, he wouldn't be playing with a hurt knee, risking major injury. He had a day to rest now, and he says his knee is okay, it doesn't hurt that much anymore. When Blatche is like that, nobody in Porto Rico can guard him. The big center scored 28, 21 and 14 points in three matches, with the fact that he had fault problems in the last one, and played only 24 minutes, taking 9 turnovers. He's an absolute first offensive option, and he can spend as many balls as he wants. He shot 20 times against Croatian, 15 against Greece. He doesn't avoid shooting three pointers, and without him playing for real, the Philippines can't hope for anything today. Details

I don't get how the Bulgarians can be favorites for @1.3. I personally think they can't, because Canada aren't on the same level as Japan, Korea, or Romania, and that's how they're treated before this match. The Bulgarians defeated Mexico 3-0, but I'm convinced that the Mexicans are the weakest team on WC, and that win means nothing. Bulgaria were never an image of a stable national team, not even when they had Kaziyski, or Vlado Nikolov. They came to Poland weakened. Vlado Nikolov isn't here, so their middle blockers rotation is reduced to two names, and there's no real alternative for Zhekov because Dimitrov isn't made to be a settter, and Zhekov isn't in the best form anyway. The receivers are a story of themselves, they're not stable mentally, and if they're attacked with the serve (as the Canadians are prone to do), they have problems with reception, which means no good offense. The strongest link of this team is the opposite Sokolov, but the popular Ceco had better days. The Canadians might have lost to Russia 0-3, but they deserved at least one set with how they played. If, by any chance, there was a different team on the other side, I'm convinced they'd get at least one point. This is a key game for them, a defeat would mean a goodbye to the second place, and that means they'll have a hard time getting to the final phase. Canada have all the presumptions to win today, they seem more stable than Bulgaria. The Canadians attacked and created pressure against a team like Russia, and the Russians have a much better reception. I think this is a 50-50 game, I'd even give the Canadians a slight advantage, and these odds are here only because of Bulgaria's reputation, and the fact that the Canadians lost the first match. Common sense tells to take clear win by Canada. Currently, the odds go on Bulgaria, which doesn't make sense, so Hoag's troups win is paid over @3. A dream come true for a tied game. Value on Canada is huge, I'd even dare say it's a mistake by the bookmakers, and we'll try to use that. With odds set like this, Canada are sorted into national teams weaker than Bulgaria, which isn't realistic, and we should bet on the win by the North American team. Details
