    Bulgaria lost against Germany and this WC is over for them. That's not good thing ahead of last two games and I don't think they're in a very good mood due to huge disappointment. Coach Konstantinov has admitted that the team is "down in the dumps" after the defeat against Germany and he's certainly not lying. On the other hand, we have Cuba, a young team willing to prove their worth and I believe they will go out in full force, especially now as Bulgaria is still a "big scalp" in volleyball. The defeat against Canada didn't devastate them, they played against Russia and if they emulate that performance I think that Bulgaria cannot be the favorites. Apart from the psychological knock-out, their form is far from ideal, especially Sokolov's, while Yosifov's injury is a huge handicap. In addition, Bulgaria have changed their arena and that's also an important fact. Cuba have a powerful serve and a good block, while Bulgaria struggle in reception and offense. I believe Cuba can get two sets and even a win is very plausible. Details

    Not counting the first round and a 27-21 win against Kiel, Lemgo played against Wetzlar with 57, Bietigheim 67 and Melsungen 65 goals. Their handball is famous from the last season, and they're not giving up on their speed and rhythm. They had success in the finals, why change anything? Last week against Melsungen, the match ended with 65 goals with 38 saves by the two goalies, Appelgren and Dresrusse, so you can imagine the rhythm. It'll be fast today, too, no doubt about it. Last year, Lubbecke won 32-31 here, and they can follow that up. Their backcourt will have Vukovic back today, and they don't have to exchange defense-offense, with Schongarth, Vukovic, Dissinger and Pieczkowski, they're really fast. They played at 55 against the defensive Erlangen, 57 against FLensburg at home, 63 against Hannover, they only got stuck with the defense against Balingen. Vukovic didn't play then.     France defeated Croatia by stopping their every offensive creation, then they eliminated the Spaniards by taking their points from the transition and trapping them with the slow rhythm. They conceded only 52 points. Yesterday, they planned to do the same against Serbia, but they couldn't do it, and Serbia imposed their plans. Everyone knew France can hardly pass if it's played on a high number of points. That's what happened. Today, the fight for the bronze will take place, I doubt that the French will try to slow the rhythm down again because they obviously can't win with 80 points. The difference compared to the match last night is in the opponent. Lithuania can't play like Serbia did last night even if they wanted to. They don't have players like Teodosic or Bogdanovic, their backcourt is full of hard-working players and they can't score to France like the Serbians did, no matter how tired the French are. Remember how Lithuania fared against New Zealand and Turkey in the previous matches. Just one parallel for the end, this is a rerun of the Euro final last year in Slovenia. It ended with 146 points (80-66), and the winner was decided early on. The French had Parker and De Colo, and Lithuania had Kleiza, so strong offensive players who won't be playing today. Details

    This pick is based on several factors which all point to Troicki's victory. First of all, but also most importantly - the impression. Troicki lost a single serve in two matches, scoring 17 aces on Mektić; he is serving well and that is very important. In other words, he won two routine victories. Bedene on the other hand lost sets to Rudnev and Langer. He was even behind 3-6 2-4 against the German yesterday with Langer having two break points, so practically on the edge of defeat. The Slovene did not leave a good impression, which does not instill confidence, but that old news. He did not impress when he won the tournament at Todi, going to three sets in four of his five matches, nor did he impress last week, and was grounded by the first serious opponent he met (Ramos). This makes his poor performances a continuous theme. Troicki is the prime candidate for the title here, and stated he is coming for the trophy in his first interview in Banja Luka. He is the strongest player in the roster, and it's only a matter of time before he gets back to the Top 30, while he can get a nice big 100 point chunk here. He's shown he means business in the first two rounds, while Bedene showed lots of insecurity. Details

    Stal's win against Pulawy definitely reduced the odds for today's game but I think MMTS are the slightly bigger favorites. I will just repeat the most important things. Kwidzyn have had a terrible season but no one was bothered about it. It was clear a new team was being created and they simply had to undergo that process. They didn't lose the core of their team during the summer and they should be fine now. A huge reinforcement is their keeper Dudek who justified his status in the first game. We should not forget that this MMTS got a draw against Wisla last year and lost against Kielce by a single goal. They have the quality, they just have to prove it. Stal, on the other hand, are on the brink of a disaster. They have no sponsors, and consequently, they have no salaries and if things don't change soon, they could be in a lot of trouble. Despite of that, the team has shown character during preparations against Pulawy but I think the defensive block will stop them today. Pulawy played a disastrous defense with even worse keepers in that game and Stal still didn't do too well. MMTS are better in this department and I don't think the visitors will score 30-something goals today. This is supported by the fact that MMTS won all 5 games in Gdansk last season and this summer during preparations. Details

    Alingsas' first match didn't end with 36 goals because of them, but because of RIK whose experts clearly stated even before the season began that they won't try to outrun teams whose roster allows them to. According to AHK's coach Franzen, Skovde will be a completely different team this season, eager to counter attach their opponents. The first match against Savehof with 69 goals clearly shows it. Last season, they played three matches against Alingsas around today's margin (52, 51, 54), but that was a season where Skovde were much more dedicated to the defense. It's not the case anymore, and we can expect that this mach will go over +55 goals in normal circumstances today. Details

He's a favorite to winning the third title in a row without a doubt, but I don't see this match going one way in his favor. Ward is in a great form, too, and after a series of successful tournaments in USA, he continued the same rhythm here. Yesterday, he eliminated the first seed Kamke in a dramatic match, and definitely boosted his self-confidence. His serve is doing great here, and I see sets with high numbers. I expect this margin to pass even in two sets, but the more realistic scenario is three sets. We saw that in the only match they played against each other before. Details
