    Bordeaux played a few great games, but conceded a goal in each of them except the first one against Montpellier. Their defense is obviously a sore spot, at least until the reinforcements manage to adapt (Ilori and Contento had a disastrous game in Guingamp, and neither have a substitute right now), which Evian can take advantage of, especially if Sougou goes on from where he left off last season.
    The away team have not scored points three times in five games, but they're definitely not repeating the fumble from the premiere, and they achieved their goal against PSG with a 0-0 outcome. Other figures are strongly in favor of this bet: they scored in seven of their last ten away matches, and five of the last games these teams played each other, with Bordeaux failing to defend at home since January!     In September Brest beat one of the favorites for advancement to the first league, Nancy (nine home wins in 12 matches), and played a draw away against lively Nimes. They have a chance to get among the top 3 against weakened Arles, and with only winger Cuvillier missing, they're presenting their major reinforcement on offense, Mali national team member Samassa.
    Arles have not lost in their last six matches, but tied three of their last four league games, and have not won an away match in a year. Naturally, they're coming to Brest to get a draw as well, but in the mean time they've sold their main defender Givet to Evian, his replacement Bonne got injured against Tours, and their key back Bocaly got suspended. They're also missing two of their most dangerous forwards, Larsen Toure i N'Gbakoutou. They lost 0-2 in Brest with a much stronger team this April. Details

    This is the first time the young Drott team meet a truly "rocky" defense, and I trust it completely. The home team have no shooters that could get through it, and without their first middle back Adolfsson it remains to be seen how they'll even manage to organize an attack against such a defensively strong team. They can also forget counterattacks, as Malmo are very good in returning to defend. The away team are led by coach Sivertsson, who spent a long time in Drott and is very familiar with the opponents, which the team will probably take advantage off. They have the experience, and motive as well after they fumbled against Lund at home. Their best shooter Lonn is also expected to get lots of time, and under those circumstances this is at least an even game, with Malmo perhaps a slight favorite. Details

    Monfils going against another Pole. Przysiezny did well yesterday until 5-5 when the umpire gave him a warning over his delay during a break chance, which caused him to lose his nerves and concentration. He won only one more game until the end of the match. The bet didn't go through but the story was right on the money. Monfils admitted he didn't train on the central court, that he had a problem with the transition and that he was not in the right rhythm. He talked about his injury, but I'm not interested in that. Przysiezny, unfortunately, didn't believe in himself and fell apart as a terrible season left a mark on his confidence. Janowicz shouldn't have the same problem. His serve should give him a lot of free points, he can go into open lay with Monfils and his confidence is increasing. He showed that against Nieminen. He saved all break chances and used the two he was given, one in each set. I know he believes he can beat Monfils and when he's got confidence he's surely Top 30 material. The final of Winston-Salem has helped him regain his confidence and he should give the struggling Frenchman a hard time. I've decided to go for +3 rather than +2.5 as it can make the difference here and the odds are good. I also recommend going for an over of games, while the braver punters can go for Janowicz's win with a smaller stake. Details

    It's true that after seven rounds Mordovia have that many points more than Arsenal, but I cannot agree that they are a favorite here. Arsenal have had a terribly difficult schedule, were playing top level teams (except Lokomotiv, who were not in crisis back then), and are not as bad as the odds suggest. Mordovia won two matches so far, against Torpedo at home and Ural at Ekaterinburg, which is not particularly impressive in my opinion. Arsenal have scored just a single point, and are under huge pressure to finally get some points against a team who are "their size". The teams already met last year in the second league, with the score 0-0 in Tula, while Arsenal won a minimal victory in Saransk. Mordovia have reinforced their team since, but not so much to be a favorite in this away game. The odds should be even to say the least, although I would personally put Arsenal as a slight favorite, so I will back the home team with this handicap. Details

    Tsonga is going after his fourth final in a row in Metz but he's never had such a tricky draw. I bet on Muller mainly because of his serve. I feared rallies but Tsonga showed he had more problems with his performance after the Davis Cup semi-final. He focused on that challenge and you can see he hasn't played on clay in a while. He's a bit late in rallies and I doubt he can fix that so quickly. He wasn't happy with his performance. I don't expect Goffin to get aces or to have an easy day on his serve but I expect a lot more in rallies. His level of confidence is incredible. After all, he has won 10 sets in a row, DC included, and his opponent has won over 3 games in only one set. However, there is a problem. I believe he can match Tsonga and take a set, but I fear the end of the set can be tricky. Tsonga is much stronger there and is playing at home. So I've decided to go for an over of games. Indoors suit Goffin more than grass and he gave the Frenchman a hard time on this surface twice. The Belgian can get two sets as well but it pays less than over 22.5 games. There will be a battle here and it will come down to the smallest of details. I would personally put the margin here at 24.5 games and that's a huge difference indoors. Details

    We have a good basis for an over here. They've played 5 times in last 3 years, 3 times going over in 3 sets. Kerber won the last two matches in 2 sets but both matches went over this margin. They're Top players so it's hard to expect either one to make a huge difference on the court as this rarely happens in these matches. In addition, Kerber is defending the Top 10 and the final from last season. Ciba will try to wash away the bitter taste after her recent performances and will also have an imperative. Coupled with the speed of the surface which is very fast in Tokyo, which is a guarantee for easy points, and the fact that one has a more defensive style (Kerber) while the other is more aggressive (Cibulkova), I don't see this match as a one-way street for either player.
