You could say it's hard to defeat a tough team like Bayern twice in a short period, but the Bavarians are in no better shape than they were 10 days ago. Micic and Benzing are still injured, an now they won't be able to count on Bo McCaleebb which is a great loss. Nihad Djenovic is questionable. He missed the last two matches, and Brce Taylor also seems to be out of the picture. Because of influence Jagla and Zipser didn't practice the last couple of times. Bayern aren't that good in away games. In the last nine such matches they won only twice, against the weak Braunschweig and Crailsheim. Individuals such as Bryant, Gave or Savanovic are not to be underestimated, but we've seen how much trouble they've had with Brose's aggressive defense, while offense-wise Bayern haven't been good for a long time. Because of all of line up problems, it's hard to expect them to be at a better level than they were. Leipzig and Thuringer meet tonight to play the first of the four derby matches set to be played until season's end. Thuringer are undefeated this season, they have total of 10 wins in ten rounds while Leipzig failed three times in 11 rounds. The last time they beat the visitors was more than two years ago and Thurdinger recorded 8 consecutive head-to-head wins since then, with the point difference always being at least 4 goals.

There's a number of reasons for me to believe Thuringer will continue their winning streak. Unliek the first part of the season, they can't count only n Frey and Luzumova, who missed the whole season anyway. Their form is very close to being perfect, and their three wins after the break very convincing. On the other hand, Leipzig are forced to do without Lederer and Atladottir and without key play maker Lang as of the break. They are also without Visser, which left the organizing to Hubinger. The last match of the year they played with Blomberg was a struggle and the first one in the next year a defeat to Odenburg that prevented them from qualifying to Cup final tournament. After that, Leipzig went to beat Fuchse (barely) and then the injury-hit Bietigheim.

Zenit emptied out by beating Belgorod, the players got two days off and then they had to spend the night in Bugulma. Kuzbass got their self-esteem back by beating Guberniya, and they never had a better team than for the away match against Zenit. If Ugra earned a set in Kazan with no real effect, than Kuzbass, who aren't missing offensive potential, can do the same. According to the odds it turns out that the away team are at Neftyanik, Prikamye or Ural level, which is far from the truth. Details

When it comes to home games this season, PAOK lost only to mighty Lokomotiv and Karsiyaka. They beat Stelmet by 19 points, Buducnost by 20, and Ventsplis by 14 in Eurocup. They defeated Panathinaikos in the Greek championship here. The opponents broke their points-low record of the season with 54 points and lost by 17 in the end. This is the key game for PAOK, a defeat would leave them with no little chance since they're set to meet Khimki in the next two. On the other hand, a win over the Russian team took the pressure of Cantu's chest and don't have to stress about the result here. The win over Khimki was to some extent the result of Cantu's good performance but to a much larger extent a result of horrible approach the opponents had in the opening minutes of the game.
