    This is a typical under since we have two defense-oriented teams and a game which is very important. That is why we shouldn't expect any kind of a fast-paced or offense-oriented game. Saint Etienna got limited to under 2,5 goals in 25 out of 37 games, Lille in 28. The home team didn't concede a single goal in 16 games, while Lille didn't concede any in 17 games. Also, Boufal is out with an injury at Lille. Without him, they become completely unproductive. Benzia and Obbadi are also out. I expect a tough game which could easily end as a goalless draw but since the odds are rather good, I'll go with the 2,25 goals under. Details

    Bayern are clearly the kind of a team that needs to get slapped from time to time to stay awake. They were definitely slapped on Tuesday in Ludwigsburg when they lost by 20 points. I now expect their reaction and extra motivation. Coach Pesic is talking about arrogance and his players underestimating Ludwigsburg. Bayern are much better home than away. They won by 19,2 points on average in the championship and are capable of beating any team but Brose and frankfurt by 15-20 points home. They beat Ludwigsburg in game one of those series by 17 home and then fell apart in the second half away. They recently beat Ludwigsburg away by 31 point and also won the first h2h of the season home. That first game was rather close but we need to say that Bayern played a tough game against Zvezda in Euroleague just 48 hours earlier. But, even in that match, just like in other two wins over Ludwigsburg, they had a lead of 7 or more points at half time. Bayern never lost home to Ludwigsburg so far in 8 meetings and mostly won easily. Ludwigsburg aren't too great away but also don't have too many conivnicng losses in the championship. They lost easily only in Munich, Bamberg and the regional derby game against Tubingen. But, it's hard to say they do brilliant away. They recently lost in Bonn and barely won in Crailsheim. Ludwigsburg have quality but they also have ups and downs. Details

    Segesta should not miss an opportunity like this. Zadar will be relegated and do not need these points. Last fall, when Zadar still had a chance of staying the league, Segesta beat them away. Segesta need these points, they are complete, while the home team won't be able to count on some starters today. Segesta are in fine form. After three straight wins, they got a point last round in the Lucko game, their direct rivals. Motivation, form, quality - all of those segments are better at the visitors and that should see them win. Details

    Panathinaikos lost two games in Thessaloniki and everything will come down to these 40 minutes. Motivation is extremely high, as the fact they forgave the three 'sinners' from Thessaloniki suggests. Even their controversial president says that incident should be forgotten about and that unity is the key now.

    Panathianikos covered this handicap in the first two home games of the series (+7 i +14) even though they were not nearly as careful or motivated as they will be today. As for the earlier games, they had a 20-point lead in one after the first half. Granted, Aris were not great back then. PAO had just +1 in the Cup before trashing them in the second half. PAO's approach was not even close to the one they will have today. That second half is just a confirmation that Pao are capable of winning a half by 20 points when completely serious. Also, this PAO are more powerful now than they were back then.
    The team from Athens had a few crises this season. The biggest one was after the defeat in Peareus when they responded with 19 wins in 20 games and displayed character. The knock-out to Laboral was a new shock so the coach got sacked. PAO hosted Kolossos at the start of the playoffs and had a 34-14 lead after just one quarter (+18 at half time). I expect their reaction today.

    Aris did great things this season but mostly home. They will not have much of a say here. Also, this is the 5th game in 10 days which is more of a problem for his players. When their energy is not top level, they struggle, especially against tough teams. The best example for that was early January when they play a few away games and recorded conviction defeats in Athens, Milan and Berlin. Zdovc's AEK were by 22 and 16 points down in away games in Piareus in playoffs after the first half. I don't see Aris keeping the deficit under 10 here. Details

    The Norwegian handball championship for women will end with the game between Larvik and Glassverket, this is the return fixture of the play-off final. We should mention that Larvik's players already got 'golden medals' as the winners of the title, and that the winner of this play-off gets the second 'best' position in the European Cups, and that is a spot in the Champions League qualifications. Since Larvik already secured a spot in the Champions League by winning the title, Glassverket have, regardless of the result in this finale, secured a spot in the Champions League qualifications just by reaching this finale. Larvik won the first game on Wednesday 33-21 and pretty much answered any question about the winners of the play-off. Today we can expect a game without any result pressure, especially emotional for Larvik's best player, Nora Mork, who will be playing his last game for Larvik (moving to Hungarian Gyori) and she will definitely have a great shooting night in her last game at home. On the other side, this will be the last game for Glassverket's coach and seven players (almost whole starting lineup), and everyone announced that they will play 'with style'. The first game in which Larvik were 'serious' in the second half, finished at 54 goals, and in today's game, for which it is announced that offenses will be in the forefront, suits a margin of at least 55 goals.     The handicap on Trieste grew, but there's a good reason for it. Sori are arriving to Trieste with juniors. Such a decision obviously means they've given up on staying in the first league. They were the weakest team anyway, and with juniors in the team they're going to get crushed by Trieste. Trieste have a couple of injured players, captain Giorgi has problems, but even if he doesn't play, the rest of the team would be too much for even complete Sori. The home coach says he won't pay attention to the problems and the visiting team's draw. Details

    We have here at least two good reasons to expect an efficient game. The first one is that the game pretty much has no result importantce. Ortigia will face Lazio in the play-out, and Verona will go to F6 from the third position. The second reason is that these two teams showed throughout the season that their strongest weapon is their offense. That was not questionable for Verona, and the number of games in which Ortigia had problems with offense is very small. Verona went over this margin in several last games, and that was against teams of similar quality (Sori 19-1, Roma 23-8, Fiorentina 23-10). So, Verona mostly demolished teams from the bottom with their offense, and the same should happen this afternoon at Syracuse, even more so because Ortigia are weakened with the absence of the team's second-best scorer Danilovic, but even without him, they can keep up with the offense.     Bourgou did great things this season, he reached Bucaramanga and Santo Domingo semi-finals, and An-Ning final. He managed to defeat Schwartzman in Bordeaux. That match was the best confirmation of Mathias' current confidence. He lost the first set after a tight tiebreak, but he made a comeback. In the end he won by 6 games against a quality player like Diego. The Frenchman has clearly been steadily improving in all segments. On the other side we have Van Peperzeel's form. He also played at An-Ning, and while Mathias reached the final, he won only one game against Banes, a player who never reached the Top 300. The week before that, in Nanjing, he lost to Ghedin who is currently outside the Top 500. It is obvious that Gavin is out of form, especially when it comes to clay court. He struggled on futures clay as well, Goluza, who is ranked outside the Top 2000, won a set against him, and he lost to Nolan (950). Absolutely everything suggests that Mathias should easily win today. I expect that he will win in straight sets and that this match will stay under the set margin. Gavin finished his last match by winnign a game and I don't see why he would take a set into tiebreak against Bourgue. Two years ago, at the Futures level, they were at exactly 20 games in Bourgue's win, a lot has changed in his favor since then. He is currently playing his best tennis, my impression is that the Frenchman will definitely dominate this match. Details
