    Bayreuth had an inconsistent form lately, but they always look good at home. They only lost two championship games there, but against the best teams, Ulm and Brose. They're complete, they're motivated to keep the fourth place that means the home floor advantage in the playoff. They're two steps ahead now compared to the teams behind them, but their schedule is tough (road games against Oldenburg and Wurzburg), and home games against Giessen and Bayern. They played Frankfurt twice this season, winning 75-61 in the pre-season, and 72-56 in the championship, with both those games played in Frankfurt.
    The Skyliners won't be able to use their best scorer today, Shields (14 points per game) because he's been lent to Trent for the rest of the season. Their starting point guard Vaughn (10-9 points and 3.8 assists) is also out, and the wing Huff (10.7 points) is questionable. He had the flue these last few days and hasn't practiced, so even if he plays, who knows what he'll look like. It's clear that nobody in Frankfurt even believes anymore that they can get to the playoff, so the substitute players will get their chance today. In circumstances like those, I really doubt they can match a better and more motivated host. Details

    Bayern keep on dominating Budesliga. They seem untouchable in 2017 in Germany. The fact they ended Ulm's Budesliga 27-game unbeaten run last round says it all. Before that, they beat Brose home and are in the race for spot 2. They're on a 12-game winning run in the league but doesn't seem to have gotten them complacent. Coach Djordjevic said they didn't do well in the first game against Bonn. That was the worst defensive end performance of the season and they have learned some lessons from it according to the coach. They played Telekom in Cup QFs and won by 15. At half time, they had a narrow lead but that was back when they also played Eurocup. The focus is now entirely on Bundesliga and that is obvious. They went over the -7,5 margin home in the championship against Jena (+20), Gottingen (+21), Frankfurt (+15), Ludwigsburg (+23), Bayreuth (+16), Tubingen (+28), Alba (+18) and Wirzburg (+10). They didn't do it against Brose and Ulm when it comes to better teams. Telekom aren't convincing away, they were down to Frankfurt at half time by more than 7 (-8), bottom-table Rasta (-8), Bayreuth (-15), Oldeburg (-9), Ulm (-9), Ludwigsburg (-12), ALba (-11). They managed to stand up only to Brose when it comes to stronger teams but they ended up losing by 20. Bonn's top scorer and key point guard is out (15,7 points and 5 assists on average). They beat Jena last weekend mostly because of him. Their second top scorer Thompson (14,7 points, 3,1 assists) is out as well. Thompson managed to score 31 points in the first game with Bayreuth, Mayo followed suit. Coach Krunic says they are tired, they played a lot of games lately and I don't see them standing up to Bayern today. Total handicap is just as good an option as the first half handicap. Details
