Virgin Islands don't have tall players at 5 which all the opponents punish. Canada and Venezuela had 16 offensive rebounds, while Argentina beat them by 46. They are in the semis because they beat the horrible Canada in the first round. Venezuela had a 10-point lead against hem, Argentina trash them. That is how good they are. They are not tall enough and won't have three point shooting today because of the aggressiveness the US team has.     The defense, which is tougher and better this season, will keep on being Tatran's key segment. They are still without top player Rabek and won't record high number here, at least not in the first half. That is why I'll go with the 1st half under.

    Tatran limited Meshkov at 23 a few days ago here in a first proper competitive game of the season. A total of 47 goals were scored (22 at HT). They played two relaxed games with weaker opponents last weekend but those games fell apart early on and aren't relevant.
    They played a lot of preparation games. I wouldn't take the early ones with Czech opponents as relevant. They went to Sala after that are played games at 51, 48 and 43 against weaker opponents too.
    In Doboj, where they prepared for this, Tatran had: Winterthur 25, Borac 22, St Petersburg 25 (16 in the second half) and Aix 25. Tatran will be even tougher today.

    Aplpa played quite a few preparation games. The more relevant ones were with tough Winterthur who are similar to Tatran. In the Coburg game at 23, Balingen at 31. They ahve 24 with Gossaul and 25 with Suhr Aarau earlier on. Last year, they averaged 56-57 goals in the league but they played Fivers at 50 and 53 goals in playoff finals. That means they go lower when things are really important. A few days ago, they have a half at 26 with Fivers in Supercup in a game that did not have the charge this one against the weaker Tatran offense will. Details

    This is a meeting of very good offense-oriented teams. The 52,5 margin is not really realistic. Nørdsjaelland have 25-33 against Lugi, 24:31 Skanderborg, 25:28 Lemvig, 33:31 Skive, Helsingborg 29:32 i Ringsted 28-22 in test games. Arhus are better than all of them in offense. Their 26-20 in the Cup against Sonderjyske doesn't mean that much since the opponents mostly record unders. They have Stjarnan 32:27, Skanderborg 21:31, Ribe 29:31, TM Tønder 27:27, Midtjylland 30:27 and Randers 25:20 in test games. The home team played two games against top division teams last season. It was 32-32 against Holstebro in the Cup and 21-19 against Skjern in QFs. Arhus played here two years ago 32-25. A lot of the players are still on both teams. Details

    I'll go with the handicap in the end after much consideration.
    Sporting have great defense, second best in Portugal last season. they limited Benfica to 25 and 23, Porto and Braga at 26 and 27 goals. All of those teams are faster-paced them Cocks and have much better offense. Sporting have been working for this for a very long time. They sailed through Challenge Cup last season, beating opponents like Cocks by 10 goals.

    The main problems here is the Finnish side that scored 19 against Melsungen, 24 against Anaitasuna and 25 against Benfica in away games. They had massive efficiency problems in preparation games as well. They scored 27 against opponents like Goztepe and Polva, 26 against Goztep in the second leg, 21 against Mshkov and St. Raphael and 19 against Kolding. 29 against Dinamo Bucharest is not a problem since Dinamo play extremely fast paced games. This is a very important game which is why I don't see any team rushing into things. Cocks rely on Ronneberg and Sporting definitely have quality to stop him. Finland lost by 15 to Kolding, by 7 to Raphael and 8 to Meshkov. Sporting can be compared to all of those teams. They lost narrowly by Goztepe and Dinamo Bucharest. They lost to Benfica by 1 away in EHF which is not a problem, to 6 by Anaitasuna and 14 Melsungen. I think they will lose this too rather convincingly. Details

    I was not disappointed with Latvia, in spite of the defeat. Serbia won by 10 but that is not a reflection of what was going on on the court. With three minutes left, Latvia had a lead but Serbia went on a 8-0 run. They are proving to be a good team in spite of not being able to count on many players. Latvia are in my opinion still worthy of the top spots and I believe they will prove that today. They are just so much more talented compared to Belgium who the bookies believe in because of 103 they hit against the worst team of the group (Britain). Belgium are not even close to the team from two years but even then, Latvia outplayed them 78-67 without Pozingis or Bertrans who combined 41 point yesterday. If they won by double digits back then, I don't see why they wouldn't do the same now that they are better. Details

    Duisburg will play the second friendly during this national team break. The first one was last Wednesday when they played Borussia Monchengladbach (players who are not on national teams). Borussia won 2-1. Duisburg's coach Gruev used 19 players in this game and didn't change just 4 at half time.

    Duisburg didn't open the season well as they're on a 1-1-2 record. In exactly one week, they will resume the championship with a trip to Bielefeld. Duisburg will have the second game during this break against Speldorf.

    That team is bottom-table in Oberliga Biederrhein on a 0-1-3 record. They won the first point in the last round in a goalless draw. They did not score in 3 out of 4 games this season.

    Duisburg already had test games with teams from this league. Last winter, they beat Strelen 5-0. Strelen are in spot ten in Speldorf's league on a 2-0-2 record. Last summer they played Hamburg 4-0, last year in November in the local cup game, they played TuRu Dusseldorf 6-0. Three years ago in the same competition, they played Jahn Dinslakeni twice (7-0 and 5-2). Three years ago, they beat Honnepel in the cup.

    Duisburg had no problems with team from this league the last few years and I don't think they will have any today. After all, they are three leagues apart. Details
