    Senegal are hosting Afrobasket with Tunisia this year. They have not won the continental title in 20 years and are very eager to do so this year. Their team is very powerful. They struggled in qualifiers for this competition earlier this year but they were not complete and coach Fisac was not in charge of the team back then. They lost badly to Malo ince and win in overtime once. Ten days ago, they beat them without Dieng in Tunisia by 31 (77-46). That say that they are much better now. They beat the Central African Republic in Tunisia as well 103-50 (35-9 after the 1stQ). In test games, they stood up to Spain, also without Dieng.
    South Africans are back at this competition after 6 years and are among the weakest teams at the tournament. Theri coach says the preparation period was short, he is without the important Marhanele who played an important role in qualifiers and at BRICS tournament. In qualifiers they lost to Zambia twice, to Angola twice (51-81, 1st half 16-43; 57-91, 1st half 23-45). They had to play two extra games against Zimbabve (the worst ranked African team in the FIBA rankings). South Africa hosted both games to win the first one 74-67 (34-41) and lose the second one 68-70 (20-34). They played the young Russian team in China in June and lost 45-74 (34-41 first half). They lost to China B 60-91 (23-44).
    They are clearly limited and I don't see them standing up to Senegal. I expect things to be settled by half time. Handicap and team under at visitors are good as well. Details

    They played the prep ratio game at 63. Dinamo averaged 58,6 on average last year and I think they will keep that up. They played Fagaras in the first round to record 10-10 at half time. Later on, when the game fell apart, the second finished at 35 but Fagaras record mostly unders and don't have great offense. They averaged 51,6 goals last season. When fighting to avoid relegation, the average dropped to 48,5. Even with such a team, they stopped at 55, just under this margin.
    Dinamo can get the game at 60 goals, especially if the games fall apart. They proved it many times last year, especially home. In test games, they played under 59 only with Meshkov, who have very good defense and play slower than last seasons.

    Baia Mare are an enigma this season. They acquired a lot of players this summer and not even they probably know what's going to happen this season. What we can conclude from the first round and test games is that they will run and that there is potential for higher numbers. They opened with Politehnica, played badly in defense but still scored 32 in a game that was close for good 45 minutes (61 goal in total). In test games, thy are 8-for-10 in overs at this margin (the rest were at 59 or higher). The one under is with Timisoara, who averaged 51 last season, and the day before, they have a game with them at 63 goals. The other under is with Balmazujvarosi (47 goals) who have 44 and 45 goals in other test games. Last year in the league they averaged 51,7 goals per game. Those numbers don't worry me and don't discredit this tip. For me, this is a game for 60 goals. Details

    I think Innsbruck will win this and I think they should win pretty easily. FAC changed almost the entire team and the coach over the summer and things don't seem to be working properly. They are the worst team in the league with 7 defeats in the first 8 rounds with 6-24 goal difference. They managed to beat only Wattens 1-0 Wattens have just three points more than them. They lost the other games pretty convincingly, starting with the first home to Austria L. (spot 7), then to runner-ups Hartberg 3-1, Ried (4th spot) 3-2. They did particularly bad in the last 4 rounds: 3-0 to Neustadt, 3-1 to Liefering 3-0 to Kapfenberg and 4-0 to Linz in the last round. They lost even the meeting to Rapid's amateur team last week. Innsbruck, on the other hand, have 4 wins, 2 defeats and 2 draws in the first 8 rounds. They won 5 out of the last 6 h2h meetings. Last time they played was at this stadium in April this year. Innsburck won 2-1 (FAC scored from a penalty 90 minutes in).
    Visitors to score over 1,5 goal is a good tip here too since they scored at least one in the last 20 visiting games. The home team conceded at least 3 goals in all 7 defeats this season. Details
