Palermo's defense seems very unconvincing

Palermo got just one point in the last found rounds, which means De Zerbi's in danger of getting the sack, given the ambition of club's controversial president Zamparini. Luckily for De Zerbi, the president is currently more preoccupied about the arrival of Chiense investors who should invest some EUR 200 million in Palermo. That is why there are no rumors about the potential sacking in the Italian media for now. 

Zamparini stood by his coach after the tough defeat to Roma: - Our defense is suffering without Gonzalez and Rajkovic. The substitutes are not at starters' level. We'll acquire some new players in January. I hope my coach will once again give enthusiasm to the team. The next game with Udinese is crucial. I hope the boys won't be disoriented. I told De Zerbi that you need to have courage in order to grow.

De Zerbi talked about his relationship with the president ahead of this game:

- He never influenced my decisions. I accepts advice and suggestions but I end up making the decisions. He is the boss. I don't believe the Udinese game is crucial. We lost only to top teams in the championship. I want to see my team putting up a better performance. 

De Zerbi is still without defenders Andjelkovic, Gonzalez, Giuliano and Rajkovic. Bentivegnau, Trajkovski and Balogh are out with injuries as well. Palermo will play the in the 3-4-2 formation with Posavec on the goal and Nestorovski as striker. 

Udinese left a great impression in two games since Delneri took over. Juventus managed to make a comeback in Turin after Udinese had a lead. Against Pescara, Delneri's team did great and got points. Udinese took advantage of Pescara's loss of focus in defense. They scored two out of three goals in that game from penalties. Those points saw them escape the danger zone teams. A win over Palermo would see them get closer to the middle of the table, which is their goal.

Delneri expects a tough match at Sicily:

- This will be a tough game. They have not won home yet and will definitely be motivated to do so today. The atmosphere will be fiery. We need to be careful and we need to play our game. It's important for the team to be ready to be aggressive and focused. It will be a battle with Palermo and a great test for us.

The visitors from Udine will be without defender Ewandro and Armero, midfielder Kone and forward Peneranda. Delneri should go with the 4-3-3 formation once again with Thereauo and De Paul as wingers. We need to see whether Zapata or Perica will get the striker position.
