Without Destro, Bologna's offense doesn't look dangerous

In the last six rounds Bologna were defeated only by Genoa in the match marked by numerous sending offs, but Donadoni's team have been on a five-game losing run. They were minutes away from beating Lazio and Sassuolo, and on Wednesday Mbaya's auto-goal annulled their lead. Bologna have been struggling with their realization since Destro got injured, because Donadoni can't find the right replacement for the main goalgetter. He will definitely need good forwards against Fiorentina's firm defense.

Donadoni has a very demanding match in front of him:

- Fiorentina have a lot of quality and a wide bench, but I believe in my players and my work. They have a team who are quality-wise behind the strongest teams, and we have to look how to use the free space. Fiorentina will want to keep the ball on our side of the turf, so we have to make use of their flaws. We have to find more balance. Considering the three matches which are three days apart, we have to know how to use strength. We spent ourselves a lot against Chievo, but in order to grow, we need to know how to handle the intense moments.

Except for the longer absent goalkeeper Mirante and forward Destro, defenders Maietta and Okinomou will also miss this match as well as back Torosidis. In the 4-3-3 formation it's questionable whether Destro's position at the center of the offense will go to veteran Floccari or the young Sadiq, and whether Taider or Pulgar will begin the match in the midfield.

At the start of the season, Fiorentina are not achieving the results their fans want, since Sousa's team oscillate too much at the moment. When Sousa sends out a team with three defenders in the line, then Fiorentina have the possession and hardly concede goals, but it's even harder to record goals. Four defenders in the line brought a better offense game with an impenetrable defense. Fiorentina didn't manage to confirm the great win at Sardinia at home against bottom-table team Crotone. The match was played on a flooded turf due to which the referee had to interrupt the match during the first half, and in such conditions the away team did better. Fiorentina saved themselves from a defeat in the very finish of the match, thanks to stopper Astori's goal.

Sousa isn't overly disappointed with bad results at the start of the season:

- It' logical that our position at the table is influenced by the fact that we can't tie two wins. We have to get better on a mental level. We played an abnormal match against Crotone considering everything that's going on, but I liked how my team approached the situation. Our players didn't reach their top shape yet, but a lack of results makes us question our confidence and our strength. In order to repair that, we need to win, we have to be more efficient in the offense. Bologna are very compact and organized team whose biggest quality is their counter-attack, so we have to be careful. We'll have little space and less chances than before, so it's important to be efficient.

Fiorentina don't have problems with absences. It's questionable whether Sousa will use a tactical formation with either three or four defenders. It's more probable that Fiorentina will head out in the 3-4-2-1 formation with Astori, Rodriguez and Ilicic behind the forward Kalinic. It's questionable whether Carlos Sanchez or Vecino, or Bernadeschi or Tello will start the match in the midfield.
