The defending champions feel very good after the recent away game in Skopje, when they recorded 40 goals, and Kielce know they can't allow Vardar to take over again

On Thursday Lowen were defeated in Zagreb, Szeged beat Celje at home last night, and temporarily made it to the top of the group. Everything is still open before today's clash of the other two pretenders; this quarter, when it comes to points, are very much equal, and head-to-heads have big meaning.

Kielce won all five matches after the defeat in Skopje, but there was a lot of struggling and they were far from their top level. They broke Gdask in a championship match during the week in the second half. They're going to need a lot more for Vardar.

- We have to be more efficient, not allow turnovers in the offense we're setting up, because Vardar know how to punish all of the mistakes. We won in previous head-to-heads thanks to our defense, and I hope the same thing will happen today - said K. Lijewski whose team won here last year with 23-20.

- We have to pay attention to Karacic and make our defense a lot better than it was in Skopje - added Djukic.

Today's match has a big meaning and Michal Jurecki is coming back.

- The tests have shown that my leg is now 100% functional. I'm looking forward to going back.

Kielce will be without Walczak today as well, Jachlewski is coming back who didn't play in the championship match, while Reichmann and Bombac (who got injured against Gdansk) are questionable.

Vardar took huge steps towards the first place in the group, but last week's home defeat by Lowen completely complicated the situation at the top. Similarly like in the only defeat in Zagreb until that moment, Vardar ran into an offensive blockade in the second half. They recorded a mere 11 goals, and the final 26 is far the least of what Gonzalez's team recorded in home matches.

- We didn't handle their seven with our six that well, we aren't used to such a game and we didn't make it in the second half. A similar thing happened with Metalurg and we also had problems then - said Gonzalez, and added:

- With such a game they took away our counter-attacks and that's something we have to work on in the future.

There's one match left in the Champions League in 2016, a very important one for the final outcome. In spring Vardar won't have any matches against Poles and Germans. In case of a win in away games in Szeged and Brest, those would be the obstacles for the direct pass into the quarter-finals, but Vardar could probably afford one loss in the run. In the first head-to-head in Skopje they pulverized Kielce with their various offenses, and recorded 40 goals.

- It would be nice to repeat that, we'd have a huge advantage which would almost confirm the first place. There's no doubt it's going to be hard, but we beat them at home, we can do it away too - Alex Dujsebaev is optimistic. He will again play against his father who's leading the European champions.

- I don't have a special message for him. I just hope we beat them.
