Sparta sacked their coach, Inter trying to make amends

Following the defeat to Slavia, Sparta's coach got sacked, which means his young assistant Holoubek will be in charge today. Inter have no choice but to chase three points today following the defeat to Hapoel

Sparta did not do well in England against Southampton in the first round. They recorded a 0-3 loss and then played a draw with Zlin and a 0-2 defeat to Slavia in the Czech derby match. All of that combined got coach Scasny sacked, which means his assistant Holoubek took over for this game. 

Holoubek is in a very tough situation because Sparta aren't doing well. Inter need to make amends for the Hapoel defeat, which means they are very motivated today. 

- I don't think this game will prove if David Holoubek is a good coach or not. It will mostly come down to players. They need to show whether they belong here or not - Holoubek said. He has lead no team at this level, just Sparta's juniors. 

- Switching from youngsters to these players is not a problem. It's about focusing on what you do - Holoubek said. He has quite a lot of injury struggles since midfielders Rosicky and Vacha cannot play, just like defenders Zahustel and Nhamoinesu. All of them would definitely help. 

- We know some of their shortcomings and want to take advatnage of them. We want every player to work hard on the pitch and not think that they are taking on the big Inter. That's the only way for us to stand up to them - Sparta's interim coach said. He will go with the 4-4-2 formation with strikers Kadlec and Lafata.

Following the embarrassment that was Hapoel in the first round, Inter managed to beat Juventus back in Italy and then went on to record another win (over Empoli).

They ended the good run on Sunday when Bologna got a point at San Siro. The visitors stunned Inter as Destro scored early on. But De Boer's team went on to dominate. Perisic scored to equalize but they failed to score again, even though there were good attempts. Center back Ranocchi missed a very good attempt late in the game.

Inter have the tough visit to Roma on Sunday but they first need to try and get some European points today:

- I'll make some changes to the lineup but a very competitive team will play. We want to win Europa League, of course. The game in Prague is the most important one. Inter and Sparta have no points so far. This is important for both teams. I don't know why they changed the coach. It might get them the advantage and it might. In any case, I trust my team. 

De Boer took 20 players to Czech Republic. Among them is not the Croatian international Brozovic, who had a falling out with the coach. Midfielder Joao Mari and Kondogbia are not there either, just like offense players Jovetic and Gabigol, who cannot play Europa League. Defender Santon and winger Biabiany are not there either.
