Astana are the top Kazakh team which won the double crown. They first won the championship and then two weeks ago the Cup. They are in the UEL group stage with Y. Boys, Olympiacos and APOEL where they have 5 points from as many games. They have the meeting in Bern left against Boys on Thursday but they do not stand a chance of getting through to the next round. Even if they beat the Swiss and Oly lose in Cyprus, the Kazakhs won't go through. They have been preparing in Switzerland since Thursday and they have chosen Baden because this team has the artificial pitch which is what they play on, just like Bern.
