The arch rivals, Argentina and Brazil, will play the last group-stage game of the AmeriCup. Three teams from this tournament will advance to the WC, so winning a medal is necessary to qualify for the World Cup. Argentina have secured the semi-final, but not the top position, which is important because it means they would avoid Canada and face Puerto Rico. Brazil are also after the top position, which they get if they win here, and if Colombia lose to Venezuela (which isn't impossible) Brazil will be playing for the top position and semi-final (if they, and Colombia lose, Virgin islands will advance). Argentina are great on both ends, but they still haven't faced a team this good defensively at the tournament. Virgin Islands and Venezuela play fast and are offensively oriented, Argentina defeated Colombia 70-47 yesterday. Brazil are offensively limited, they are missing a few key scorers from last year's South-American championship. They have not scored here over 68 points, but their defense is at the right level. They limited Venezuela to 63, Virgin Islands 58, Colombia 47. Brazil are, with Canada, physically the strongest team here, they are aggressive, and I think Argentina will struggle in offense. Brazil won 73-57 at last year's South-American championship, they are weaker now and Argentina are the favorites. Also good options are under of overall points and counter-handicap, but I see the most wiggle room in Argentina's team under.
