Tipsarevic got back at Zhang in the first round while Paire managed to finally win a match by making a comeback against Basilashvili, who helped him a lot

The Serbian started his comeback season in less than brilliant way but his quality is now slowly starting to show. After one challenger title, he played well at US Open and then recorded another ATP win here. 

He had a great chance against Ze Zhang but we need to mention that Zhang is a player he lost to just two months ago. This was a chance for Tipsarevic to get back at his opponent which is what he did. It was not easy and we saw a tough match in which the Chinese has done better at the beginning. The match was decided in tie break and that is when Janko got better. He allowed just one break point in the second set and managed to win in the end even though the serving wasn't brilliant (49 percent). We also need to note that he asked for a medical time out mid-second set but there were no serious problems visible after that.

Paire

After some new scandals and regular disappointment on the court, the Frenchman finally managed to end his losing streak. Basilashvili seemed like a good chance in the first round. But things are never easy when it comes to Paire. He opened well (5-2 lead) but after that lost 8 out of the next 100 games and seemed to be into a new disappointment. This time, he managed to make a comeback but his opponent helped him with it a lot by finishing the match with 14 double faults. Also, the Frenchman saved 7 out of 10 break points. 

We'll see the first clash between two players who have some similarities. They are unpredictable and prone to ups and downs. That is why this should be an interesting and unpredictable match.
