Montenegro trying to catch up with the goal difference

The Montenegrins have the same number of points as the Italians who are playing against Greece later, but for the four goals weaker goal difference. If they want to go straight to the semifinals, they'll have to score a lot. The Georgians are disappointed after the defeat against Russia

The Montenegrins played a tie against the Italians in the deciding match of the group. Right now, it means that the Italians are the first based on the goal difference, but the schedule of the last goal says that the Montenegrins are in a better situation. Their goal difference is four goals weaker, but they also have a much weaker opponent who they can easily defeat by 10 goals. It won't be that easy for the Italians against Greece.

- We started weakly against Italy and were behind with the result, but later we were much better. I'm really satisfied with how the defense played, but we reacted badly in the offense in situations with a player more - coach Perovic commented.

As for today's match, not much to say. They have to go after the most convincing goal difference, and they definitely have the quality for it.

- We have to be really serious because maybe even the goal difference will decide - Perovic was clear.

The Georgians were getting ready to play against Russia for three months, and they didn't manage to win. That match meant everything to them, not that much because of the result as much as for some other aspects.

- I don't have the strength or the will to comment on today's match. You can see it all on the scoreboard - coach Popovic was short, and the player Gegelashvili added:

- I'm really disappointed because we were getting ready for this for three months. But, it's impossible to play with that many ejections, and we didn't have enough players to finish the match in the end.

Really, Georgia had 21 ejections in that match, six players ended the match before the time, and the last two minutes were played with five players in the pool because they didn't have anyone else to send in.

While they were complete, the result was a tie, they even managed to catch up at 4-8 and make it to 12-11, but in the last five minutes, the Russians had a shooting training with a player more, and they used it.

Today, their chances are minimal, and their motivation is questionable after everything that happened.
