Portugal justify their role as the favorites

The Hungarian team were the victims of their weak start on Saturday, today they are planing a more cautious approach

The hosts of this competition started of with a defeat against Austria, so if they wish to make it to the semifinal, they'll have to chip some points off the favorite of the group. Mezsoly's team can draw courage from the excellent friendly match they've played against the Portuguese in October (3-3).

On Saturday they fell victim to a weak start, which got them conceding two goals within 18 minutes.They improved later on, even dominated the pitch in the second half, but only managed to save face with a goal by Varga.

-We were not even close to our best. The Austrian team did not surprise us, we buried ourselves with our own mistakes- said their organizer Kalmar.

Mezsoly made some changes in the roster for today, and will focus on defense:

-We need to be more organized and cautious, and cannot open up too much, as Portugal have huge quality on offense. The most important thing is to improve individually.

Against Israel the Portuguese justified their status of  favorites in the group and gold contenders overall. They struggled just a bit at the start of each half,but as time went on their domination increased.

Selector Helio Souza is very pleased, but still warns that things will not go so easily with the Hungarians. He expects a performance similar to the one he saw in October from them:

- The take more risks than Israel, attack directly and with more players. If we get the ball, they will not shy from fouls to stop us.

Due to injury, forward Nuno Santos will be absent, which seems a minor handicap, as he only played the last 12 minutes on Saturday.
