Three of Roma's players set to miss the clash with Milan after 'the war in Genoa'

Astori, Pjanic, Holebas are to miss today's game with suspensions

Roma managed to get only one point short of the top table Juventus last week as they beat Genoa away, but Allegri's side won their game in Sardinia on Thursday, which means Roma will stay in the runner-up spot regardless of the outcome of this game. But, everyone at Roma still wants to beat Milan to stay close to Juventus. Roma are undefeated for the last 4 head-to-head games with the Milan-based team, having won both times at Olimpico in the last two seasons. Garcia's team are the favorite tonight - Roma lost only one out of the last 28 Italian championship home games (last season to Juventus).

Garcia has a great deal of respect for Milan, but still want to get the three points in Rome:

- The more they give us a hard time, the more we fight. The harder it gets, the fiercer we will be attacking. This is the last home game of the year and we will do our best to win three points as a present under the tree. We need to play our game and be very ambitious. This is like my second Christmas but nothing changed since last year. I still want to win.

Last Roma's game was ripe with tension, which will result in center back Astori, defender Holebas and midfielder Pjanic missing this game with suspensions. Garcia hasn't had center back Castan, defender Balzarettu and midfielder Ucan at his disposal for a while now (injuries). We need to see whether Torosidis or Cole will start at the left back position, and whether Ljaljic or Iturbe will get a spot in the three-man attack next to Gervino and Totti.

Milan's performances and results have not been consistent this season and Inzaghi can be happy with the last 5 rounds since his team stayed in the race for spot three which would see them get automatic spot in Champions League. Last week's win over Napoli provided Milan's players with a boost of confidence, but while seeming very convincing home, Inzaghi's side isn't nearly as good away. Milan were defeated only once away, but no one is happy with a single win in the last six away matches. They are now faced with one of the toughest away games in Serie A in which they won three points only once since the year 2005.

Inzaghi is full-aware of the atmosphere his team will be faced with at Olimpico:

- I know what it means to play at Olimpico and I know what kind of atmosphere we'll see there. We are ready, I can see my players are very motivated to do a good game. We know how powerful Roma are, but I am very calm since I know we will play a good game. We will congratulate the opponent if they emerge victorious, but in order to do that, they will need to step it up and play a very good game. We know it will be tough, but a team as ambitious as Milan needs to go to Rome to win. We are Milan and we aren't afraid of anyone. I'm hoping for a great game.

Defenders Abate and De Sciglio still struggle with injuries, while midfielder Van Ginkel and defender Rami aren't at coach's disposal yet. We have to wait to see what he decided regarding midfield (whether Poli or Muntaru are to join Montolivo and De Jong). and whether Honda or El Shaarawy will be in the offense together with Bonaventura and Menez. Given Menez's fine form, Fernando Torres will have to wait for his chance on the bench.
