The City definitely second, Southampton dream about the Europa League

Manchester City connected five wins with 16 goals scored, and secured the second place. Southampton can get directly to Europa League only if they get a clear win

Manchester City are on a five-wins run, securing the second place even before the last round. But, this season is still considered unsuccessful for the richest English club because they didn't get a trophy, nor a good result in Europe.

Coach Manuel Pellegrini will most likely get fired, and the roster will be readjusted because Yaya Toure and the veteran Frank Lampard are leaving, among others. If the new coach does come, there could be even more changes. The City are now expecting Southampton, and there are no doubts about the tactics, especially knowing that the home team never played 0-0 at home in the championship this season.

- The season isn't over till the very last match, which means we have to be fully engaged and show the desire to win against the very good Southampton - Pellegrini said. He'll have to do without the midfielders Nasri and Fernando, and Frank Lampard should start his farewell to the Premiership from the first minute.

- Lampard is one of the greatest Premiership players in the last 20 years, and he deserves all the honors at his farewell. It's an extra motive, to leave for America with a win from this match - Pellegrini made it clear. 

Manchester City beat Southampton at home in the last three seasons. 

Ronald Koeman took over Southampton before the season began, changed their roster significantly, and the first two thirds of the championship, he was their hero, keeping the club among the top four.

There was a downfall in the last two months, partly because of the absences, and for the thin roster in general. The seventh place could bring them Europa League, but not necessarily, depending on whether Aston Villa win the FA Cup. Koeman's team could get to the sixth, perhaps even fifth place, but they have to win today, or get at least one point, in whcih case Tottenham would have to lose to Everton, and Liverpool make a mistake against Stoke.

- Both our rivals have tough away matches in the last round, but ours is the toughest. But, if we could win against Manchester United and play a tie against Chelsea, why not believe in one more success - Koeman explained. 

The Senegalese forward Saido Mane made himself a hero in the last round, he scored a hat-trick in three minutes in the 6-1 win against Aston Villa, That was a record time of anyone scoring three goals in a row.

- Manchester City have a line of individuals who can be guarded only with an impeccable collective game and organization on the field. They're all professionals and I don't expect them to go easy, but I hope we can play a great game - Koeman expressed his desire. He'll have to find a way without two key midfielders again, Schneiderlin and Tadić. However, Southampton can be encouraged with the fact that in the last nine away matches here, they scored at least one goal, and before the current series of three defeats, they had three wins in a row against their today's rival.
