Luxembourg made massive progress but they're not hoping for a miracle against Spain

Spain are having great injury-struggles but the win and a spot in the 2016 Euro will not be questionable because of it

Two wins in the last two qualifiers got Spain only one step away from qualifying for Euro. It is almost sure that they will confirm a spot in the main tournament in Logrono today with a win over the feeble Luxembourg to then play the last game in Kiev under no pressure. 

Coach Vicente del Bosque has a super powerful team at his disposal, as per usual. I will therefore mention only the new names on that list  and those who are out. Sevilla's goal keeper Sergio Rico and defenders Perez (Villareal) and Etxeita (Atheltic) are on the national team for the very first time, while defenders Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal and Inigio Martinez, midfielder Sorriano, Vitolo and Rresurrecion aren't at coach's disposal with injuries. Diego Costa is out with a suspension.

- I am very optimistic and I'm sure we will secure a spot in Euro in the Luxembourg game. I have the starting lineup btu I don't want to announce to prevent any of my players losing motivation - Del Bosque said ahead of yesterday's practice session. 

Luxembourg are traditionally one of weakest European teams but they did not embarrass themselves in this qualifying cycle. They currently have 4 points, which put them ahead of Macedonia.

Luxembourg are definitely making progress but coach Luc Holtz is realistic: 

- I think we stand absolutely no chance of beating Spain. Yes, they have injury-struggles and we will be particularity motivated but realistically, these two teams cannot be compared. We'll try and defend well and give it our best on the pitch.

Midfielder Mutch is a bit more optimistic than his coach:

- Luxembourg have made massive progress in the past few years and we are therefore going to Spain to put up a good fight. No one can mess around with us anymore, not even Spain. The fact we don't stand a chance of qualifying for Euro means nothing because we play for our country.

Two midfielders Laterza and Hoffman are not on the list but I was not able to learn why. Defender Chris Philipps is back following a suspension.
