A knock-out in this stage would be a huge failure for Reggiana

Game 3 of this series was definitely the closest one so far. Brinidsi won to take a 2-1 lead and get only one step away from the semifinals. The final step is always the toughest one. Knocking out the favorites today would be a massive achievement for them. 

The intensity we saw in this series in not comparable to the others. The result from the last game is the best proof of how tough this series is. The home team won 62-58 after lagging behind throughout the game to play best in the crucial moments.

It seemed Reggiana would get back at them for the Game 2 defeat as they took a 50-42 lead with 8 minutes left on the clock. Lead by Turner who scored 7 out of his 11 points in the final quarter, Brindisi managed to make a comeback and take the lead to win in the end. 

Brindisi were waiting for their top scorer Denmon to get on his usual level the first two games (2-for-15), which finally happened two days ago. He finished with 21 point (5-for-8) to make up for the previous performances. Mays added 12 points with 8 rebounds, while Pullen finished with 10.

- Congratulations to the team for not giving up and for staying mentally strong throughout the game. An 8-point deficit was huge in such a tough game but we had some good-quality possessions on the offensive end. The fans were a huge support - Bucchi said after the win and then immediately turned to the next game:

After his performances drew a lot of criticism in the first two matches, Diener scored 15 points to be his team's top scorer alongside Lavrinovic.

Polonara failed his team to finish with only one point while Kaukenas (2-for-8) went on with bad shooting, just like in previous games. Silinis finished with no points. It is very clear that Reggiana's offense struggles against Brindisi's very aggressive defense. Today more ever they should be inspired by Cinciarini, who is the key man in their offense.

Brindisi proved how tough they are and proved themselves that they can stand up to Reggiana. They need that more than anything after losing both regular season head-to-head games. Brindisi won 6 out of the last 7 games, except those against Milano, while Reggiana aren't doing well away, having won only one out of the last 9 games.

One things's for sure - we are in for another 40 exciting minutes of tough and not very brilliant basketball.
