If the Lithuanian doesn't play, Reggiana's chances will drop significantly. Venezia have shown that they have the right game and weapons for Reggiana

Reggiana failed to keep the home court advantage they took over from Venezia in the second game. The result is now 2-1 and Reggiana cannot afford another defeat. Their record at home was 16-2, but Venezia played great defense this time and limited them to 70 points. 

The final result was 76-70, and the game was equalized only in the first quarter. Already in the second one, Venezia had a 10 point lead, 16 point lead in the third one, and in the final moments of the game they relaxed a bit and let Reggiana come to only three points behind them, but they kept their lead. 

After 19 and 22 points, Peric was brilliant once again and scored 22 points (10/20) with 6 rebounds. Captain Goss also continued playing great, he scored 19 points (5/10), and experienced Ress has completely recovered and in 23 minutes scored 16 points (4/5 three pointers).

- We played a great game, we didn't let them pressure us like they did in the second game. The defense was at a high level - said Recalcati and then talked about Stone's game. 

As far as points go, he is offensively invisible, but his contribution to the game is huge. After he got injured in the last game, he completely recovered and in 32 minutes on the court caught 5 rebounds and made 7 assists. 

Venezia dominated the rebounds this time (36-27), and the reason for that is Lavrinovic's injury which is why he played for only seven minutes. He has been Reggiana's best player from the start of the play-off, and if he doesn't recover, Reggiana could finish the season very soon. 

- The first game started when Lavrinovic left the court. His injury was a huge blow for us and we lost the game in the next ten minutes. He tried to come back, but I didn't want to risk it. He was our best player so far and we're missing a lot of points without him - said Menetti, and after he was asked if Lavrinovic would play today, he didn't have any good news:

- We will probably be without him. 

Polonara finally woke up in the last game and scored 14 points with as much rebounds. Silins scored 11 (4/6), Della Valle 10 (3/5), and Diener (8p, 3/7) disappointed once again, and he is not even a shadow to the player he was last year. 

- We have to win today, and it's crucial to stop Peric. We also need contribution from all the players - he concluded. 

If Menetti's dark premonitions come true and Lavrinovic doesn't play, Venezia will have a great chance to come back to their court with 3-1 and a match point for the finale.

    The latest information from Italy says that Lavrinovic will definitely not be playing due to leg injury, which only confirmed earlier predictions. However, the news is Diener's arm injury and his appearance is questionable.

Venezia have 2-1 lead and today they have a great chance to take a 3-1 lead and go back to their court to finish this series. The pressure is definitely on Reggiana, they can't lose, but they will have trouble winning without their key player. Lavrinovic injured a muscle in the last game and the coach said that it is highly probable that he will not be playing. As soon as he left the game, Venezia took a double digit lead which was at times even 16 points. Even Menetti admitted that the injury is a big blow for the team because they don't have another player of his caliber, and without him they lose the post-up game and control of the rebounds. The numbers are also showing his importance, in 16.5 minutes on the court (he doesn't have the strength to play longer) he scored 15 points and caught almost 5 rebounds. Regianna cannot be the favorites without him, regardless of the home court where they are generally very strong. It definitely worth taking considering the circumstances. The braver ones can, for a lower stake, bet on the win which is paid nicely.
