Slovakia left a good impression in the first round but the draw was favorable. Latvia are among the youngest teams here, completely different compared to last season and Turkey finished the first stage with nothing but defeats. The closest they got to winning was in the Slovakia game. The Slovaks didn't stand a chance against France, they lost by 25 points and scored less than 40. France almost beat that Poland just before the tournament (50-51) and once again struggled in preparation period in which they beat Turkey by 15 points. Poland are quite similar to France in style and it's expected that the offense-oriented Slovakia struggle here. Poland beat Germany in the first round, then Serbia and almost very powerful Russia. Last year at U20EC Slovakia beat Poland but there are no key players from taht time left on the team now. Four players scored all the points for Slovakia in that game (Hruščakova 22, Slamova 19, Balintova 15, Filickova 2) but none of them is there today.
