There's no doubt that Spain are the big favorites here, they're a quality team, they're playing at home, but this margin seems to be underestimating the Netherlands. If France and Spain are the main candidates for the gold medal, the Netherlands, by objective quality and what they've shown in the preparation period and on this tournament, belong to a group of teams who hope to win a medal. In the preparation period the Netherlands beat France, Russia and in the last round of the European Championship they beat Italy. That Italy was beaten by Spain with around 10 points of difference. Later the hosts were convincing against Hungary, the Czech Republic and Belgium, but realistically those teams were weaker than the Netherlands, despite the fact that they've lost to Belgium. That was a bad day for them, they practically beat themselves. All in all, I don't expect Spain to crush the Netherlands. After Italy, the Netherlands are the second strongest team Spain are going to meet, and next to them, offensively the best.
