Maribor did a great preparation period for the second part of the season in Turkey. They now have 4-5 more players and need a win to start off with. They will play the second game against Olimpija, which means dropping points here is not an option. They beat Celje 3-1 this season away and 1-0 home but they had at least 10 sitters in that second game.
Celje lost the very important forward Firer, who is the top scorer in the league. They lost the very creative Ahmedi, who left the team to join Maribor. Celje now have worse players and I therefore expect Maribor to win this easily. They are much better now under coach Jurcic than early int he season. 7,000 thickets were already sold for the game, which is a lot for this league. Jurcic said he wants to give the fans a good result and a good game. All of that suggest an easy win for his side.
