A direct duel for the placement into the Montreux Volley Masters tournament semi-finals in which I think the Netherlands are being favored too much. Both national teams don't have the best rosters, while the Netherlands are missing a few of them, mostly starters from the latest big competitions (setter Dijekma, opposite Sloetjes, receivers Grotheus and Debby Stam-Pilon, Manon Flier). Serbia are here with somekind of a B selection, but most of the players will be part of the summer national team games and who aren't inexperienced; most of them have been starters at European and World Championships, and at Olympic Games, such as opposite Bjelica, Malagurski, receivers Djerisilo and Molnar, liberos Cebic and Popovic. Next to them are the young players from the two generations of juniors and cadettes who have won all that could be won (Radenovic, Busa, Mirkovic, Savic, Popovic), players who are part of the best European leagues and who have played in the national team for the past year or two. At this tournament against the same rivals (Switzerland and Thailand) they left a better impression and have better statistics. The second thing which could be an advantage for Serbia is the fact that yesterday they had a day off, while the Netherlands played in the evening against Thailand and which they've lost after five sets and more than two hours of playing. I don't see a winner in just three sets here, and in the long run Serbia stand bigger chances of winning. The offered quotas for the handicap of sets and Serbia's win are worth a shot.
