It's the first day at the first tournament in Group C which will be played in Hungary the next three days. Romania have better background, they played the EC 2015 and that finishes the story of the upper hand here. Romania is to open the European League without some players who are out with injuries and other problems. The starting duo of middle blockers from that EC are not here. Third option Falaes and Cane will have to be the starters here. On the other hand, Greece had no problems players-wise. They have 4 international players who had a great season with team cubs. Greece were complete during the entire preparation period, they are playing the second tournament of this group stage next weekend and compete as a candidate for a spot at European League Final Four. They finished as semifinalists last year and have potential for more now. A win over the decimated Romania is certainly necessary for that.
