It's impressive to see how easily Brose are recording wins early this season. They beat Frankfurt by 29 points (+9 at half time), Braunschweig by 48 on Friday (+22 at half time). They played two other German teams at the end of preseason. They beat Bayreuth by 31 (+17) and Ludwigsburg by 19 (+16). They didn't allow over 63 in any of the games and never over 29 in the first half. As coach Trinchieri said, their focus is top level and since they are now focused only on Budesliga, they settle their games in the first 20 minutes. But they go full throttle throughout the game because they have enough players for that.
Tubingen opened the championship with a defeat to Bremerhaven and then beat Giessen on Friday. The visutors are bottom part of the table when it comes to quality. They did horribly in Bamberg last season (64-101) after being 9-31 down after the first quarter and 24-63 at half time. Two seasons ago, Brose were lead by Trichinieri and they defeated Tubingen in Bamberg 59-100 (25-51 at half time, 7-33 after the first half). Tubingen lost to Bayreuth y 18 and 14, to Frankfurt by 26, to Ludwigsburg by 25 (-14 at half time). Brose trashed all of those teams this season in the first 20 minutes this season.
Tubingen are somewhat better than Braunschweig, the win over Giessen is a rather good accomplishment but given Brose's form, their game and especially their defense, I don't see a way for Tubingen to stay close for a long time today. All handicaps (total, 1st half, 1st quarter) or team under at Tubingen are, in my opinion, good options. We need to take advantage of this part of the season before the start of Euroleague.
