Still, the Italian proved last year that he wants to improve his hard court game. He's been working on his service, and will try to make it to Top 100 this year. He played Doha, Australia, managed to win a set against Thiem, which means he is consistent. Consistent enough, I believe, to take advantage of all the shortcomings a player who hasn't played since the last Roland Garros will have. If Katic could win, Cecchinato should certainly be able to do the same a few days later.
