The win against Azarenko is surely praiseworthy but it's a good indicator that Venus is still far from right form. Viktoria hadn't played for some time and she was uncertain in the final stages of sets, which Venus made use of. However, the American still made too many mistakes and depended on her first serve a lot. On the other hand, Petkovic is in great form and has had 7 consecutive wins with only 1 lost set. True, she did play against weaker players but this positive run will sure give her plenty of confidence. She is playing solid tennis and is assured in rallies. She has enough power to take the initiative and she showed against Osaka that she has improved on her forehand side. I'm convinced that Petkovic's great form will decide this game and this seems like very good bet under these odds.
