Mladenovic is doing a lot better this season which the title she won yesterday (third one this season) only goes to prove. Parmentier had some struggles with her game this season but she will have the upper hand in adjustment here. Also, she has done very well at the last tournament

Mladenovic has been having a really turbulent season. She reached one semifinal, one quarterfinal, and Miami third round. But, she also has five defeats in opening matches. She has always been the kind of a player who rides the momentum very well and this season is no different. While she has many ups and downs in singles, Mladenovic's doubles tournaments this season have been much more successful. Babos and her played two semifinals, three finals and won a title in all three. Their last title is from yesterday when the two of them beat Hingis/Mirza in Rome.

- It was tough today as well but we played as a team in every match. We played these opponent in Miami as well. That was a close match but we were frustrated by not doing well - Mladenovic said after Rome.

She will not be participating in doubles tournament this week since she's in Nurnberg and Mladenovic in Strasbourg. Mladenovic proved she can play high-level tennis in Marrakech on quite fast clay court. She recorded three straight wins before being stopped to her doubles partner Babos in straight sets.

Parmentier was a Top 40 player 7 years ago. She got back into Top 100 last year but we need to see how long she will be able to stay there as she didn't play much this season and tied wins in only two tournaments (Miami qualifying rounds and at an ITF tournament where she reached semifinals two weeks ago). She beat Kulichkova in straight sets, Linette in three and Gavrilova in straight sets. All those wins bear significance but we need to see if Parmentier can keep her game up.

She has the upper hand here since she's been in Strasbourg for a while now preparing for the tournament. Mladenovic just got there from Rome, after winning the doubles title yesterday. She made it into main draw as a lucky loser in singles and then beat Puig and won a set against Makarova. Her opponent Parmentier's results from the last tournament are definitely a good sign before this one.

Mladenovic is far better in doubles than in singles this season. She is prone to slips as she's been proving this season and throughout her carrier. She won the doubles title in Rome yesterday and now has to adapt to the next tournament only one day later. Parmentier wasn't having a good season but her performances at the last tournament give her hope. She recorded three wins, beat Gavrilova in straight sets, and we know very well what Gavrilova did in Rome last week. Parmentier can cause trouble for Mladenovic with deep shots and she can force her into a lot of mistakes in these conditions.
