Dulgheru having injury problems

Tatishvili caused an upset right at the opening of the tournament by defeating Voegele in straight sets. She played a good match, and she could make life more difficult for injured Dulgheru if she plays the same way

Even though Dulgheru managed to defeat Zhang yesterday, that was far from her best performance. Shuai had 4-2 in the last set and an advantage in the rallies, but that's when Dulgheru decided to take more risks.With stronger and deeper balls she took over the initiative and won 6-4. Yes, she won 4 back-to-back games, and she didn't give up even when Zhang had 30-0 at 5-4. Realistically, Zhang deserved to win and the only reason she lost is the slip in concentration midway through the second set. She let Dulgheru take over the initiative and start playing more aggressively, and she made too many mistakes in those rallies. She didn't offer a single break point in the first set and a half, and in the remainder of the set she lost 6 of 10 break points. Zhang's game level drastically dropped, and she couldn't even use Dulgheru's injury, and Alexandra added after the match:

- If it wasn't Bucharest, I wouldn't even be playing. It's hard and I'm in pain, but I'm still happy. I didn't expect to win under these conditions today because I was in pain and I didn't have enough energy. At the end I cried with relief and I am really doing everything to keep playing here and then I'll take a break. 

Alexandra's left knee swell up at Roland Garros, and the short-term solution were injections. Tatishvili displayed much better first serve in the match with Voegele and a good quality return should give her a lot of break points. Anne's win doesn't seem like a bad option with bookies who regard opponent retiring after the first set as a win since I wouldn't be surprised if Dulgheru doesn't make it till the end here. All things considered, the bet at +4.5 games for the American has a pretty good value.
