Nordsjaelland aren't worried about the current last place

Sonderjyske gave us a surprise this week by signing the former national team player Daniel Jensen

Sonderjyske caused quite a stir announcing the fact that they've signed the former Denmark national team player Daniel Jensen. Jensen (34) left the deepest mark in Heerenveen and Werder, and although he hasn't been playing much in the last few years (Novara, Copenhagen), he is a great signing for Sonderjyske and will probably get the chance to demonstrate his knowledge as soon as today.

- We definitely couldn't miss this unique opportunity to sign such a class player. It is clear that the team will be much stronger with him. Jensen is an incredibly creative player with a great ball. He can help us in our forward game and his vast experience could be of use in the defence. We're looking forward to seeing him in action in the light blue shirt - coach Lars Sondergaard is pleased with the latest acquisition.

Sonderjyske aren't in an impressive form otherwise. A single win in the last six games and three losses in the last four are keeping them dangerously close to the relegation zone. The already shabby roster has been made even emptier by absences as of late, so the last round and the deserved defeat against Aalborg didn't see the performances of striker Absalonsen and midfielders Storm and Sorensen (who are also missing today), whereas attacker Fabricius was only ready for the last 15 minutes. Absalonsen is on today's list and Fabricious is starting, but suspensions will prevent the performances of very important midfielders Christensen and Madsen, the experienced defender Hansen is injured and Salami has been missing since the beginning of the season. Coach Sondergaard will also be missing today due to suspension.

Nordsjaelland had a disastrous start to the season and are at the rear of the Superliga with a single win and five points after eight rounds. The reasons for this are numerous: the roster has been changed quite a bit this summer and coach Hjulmand's game requires teamwork, they've also been having injury problems since the beginning of the season and they've been distracted by the matches in Europe in part. Hjulmand isn't panicking for now, but he knows they need a win to rouse the team.

- I rarely use the state of the table as a motivational tool, whether we're in first place, in the middle or at the bottom . First of all, we look at our game, the things that work and the things that don't. The fact that we have lost too many matches needs to be turned into something that will motivate the players. There's no doubt that we're under pressure, we're playing against Sonderjyske and we could finish above them if we win. We can take a step forward by winning and that's our goal. But we must remember that it makes a difference if we play our game and enjoy it at the same time - the away team's coach said.

The guests' roster is the same as in the last round, the very important midfielder Lorentzen and the best striker Bech, new signing Aabech, young striker Thychosen and winger Laudrup are all out.

The main reason for Nordsjaelland's bad results is a weak defense. The articulated runner-up is not playing as bad as the league table suggests. We have seen that in the last game week when they were equal to the mighty Midtjylland but they have not realized their opportunities and received two goals. They received 15 goals in total in the Superleague in eight game weeks and that makes Nordsjaelland's defense statistically the weakest one in the league. Their offence is looking better as time passes, especially after the arrival of Joshua John (he was on loan last season from Twente) who scored right after returning in the first game.
Sonderjyske performance of the last line is also nothing to brag about, especially on home turf where they received six goals in the last two matches.
Taking into account the style of play of this team, the offensive potential and defense problems, as well as last seasons matches between the two (12 goals in three matches), I would be surprised if this meeting did not go into over.
