Home team fear biased referee's decisions

Home team await the undefeated Arsenal today who will be playing without a few injured or suspended first team players

Tigre played an entire half-time against Gimnasia with a player advantage on the pitch but couldn't win in spite of that. Tigre stayed at the bottom part of the league table with a point but if there is something that can make the home team fans happy it is their recent solid form and the team from Victoria has lost just one match in the last five rounds.

When you play against Arsenal, refereeing and privileges on the pitch are always the main topic and that was what midfielder Diego Castano talked about:

- I hope that this time there will be no weird decisions to our disadvantage. I played on Arsenal's stadium in Sarandi twice and both times the referees made drastic decisions for us. I hope that won't happen this time.

The refereeing advantage for Arsenal aside, the Sarandi team does play well. In the last round against the B squad of San Lorenzo they got all three points. This time it happened with a lot of help because the away team played most of the match without two sent off players. Arsenal played much better in the Cup final against the same team, San Lorenzo, who they beat with a 3-0 score on a neutral pitch.

- We are very happy with this trophy but any kind of relaxing at this phase is forbidden. We are now at the second position. We are undefeated in the league and we are the first team behind Newell's. We have no intention of letting them break off from us on the leading position. There is a realistic chance that Newell's won't win in today's derby and that's why we go to Victoria for all three points and to try to catch up with them. Tigre have risen in their form but if we play the way we want to I don't think we should have any problems - forward Emilio Zelaya was optimistic.

The away team coach Gustavo Alfaro didn't want to announce the line up against Tigre, but the media speculate that no first team players will be rested. One change will happen but it will be a formation change. Alfaro announced that unlike the Cup final match, today they will play in their classic 4-4-2 formation and that means that Fausto Montero will be kept out and Milton Caraglio or Mauricio Sperduti will get their chance next to Julio Furch.

It is hard to understand why Tigre are nominated as a favorite against the only unbeaten team in the league. The only reasonable explanation could be the fact they play well at their home ground or maybe the fact visitors have recently won the Cup. However their players stated that this success won't slow them down and that they will look for all three points today. Arsenal are just behind the league leaders who could lose a point or two in their city derby so visitors will do their best to win 3 points and come closer to the leader. It is worth mentioning that in last nine games between this two clubs, Tigre only have won once, once there was a draw and Arsenal recorded seven wins. Home pitch was not an advantage for Tigre in last four matches against Arsenal as the visitors recorded three wins and one draw. Visitors are better team and are nominated as underdogs here so there is a great value to play on them. In order to be secure I choose to play draw no bet on Arsenal and for a smaller stake a straight away win could be tried also. For a draw no bet in case of a draw our stake will be returned.
