Hannover still without their right wing

Both head to head matches last year had a one goal difference. Hannover played a 28-28 draw with Lübbecke last round, and Füchse a 21-21 draw with Rhein Neckar Löwen

The final match of German championship 9th round is the clash between Burgdorf and Füchse. Füchse are currently playing the best game in the league, next to Hannover, who are considered to be a dangerous opponent, which means we're in for an interesting match.

These two clubs don't have long history, they're quite recent, and they didn't play many head to head matches. Hannover has only one official win - 28-27 in Berlin last year. However, they won the preseason match this year 32-31. Their last round's match was a tie in Lübbecke, Moschai managed to score a goal five seconds before the end for one point. 

- We would like to have won here. Some things improved after the halftime, but we still couldn't win. Details decide matches like these - said coach Nordmeyer.

His team was defeated horribly in their last home match to Löwen who were simply at top level in every aspect. That was Hannover's worst defeat this season (38-26). They now play the team that caused a lot of trouble for Löwen last weekend. Löwen managed to score in the last second for 21-21 and one point. It however seems that the referees made a mistake and that the goal wasn't legitimate because Groetzki fell to the ground before throwing the ball.

- I have a great respect for out next opponent. They had some great accomplishments in the past, and our recent head to head matches were quite tied - we won by one goal in Berlin, they won by one goal here - said Nordmeyer. 

- We're playing home, of course we want to win. Magdeburg's win against Kiel proved anything is possible, we have to give our best, regardless who the opponent is - said goalie Ziemer.

Nordmayer can count on the same line up that won the point in Lübbecke. That means without their first choice right wing Johannsen and line man Andreu. Hendrik Pollex, Julius Hinz, and Timo Kastening are therefore on the list.

Füchse played two consecutive draws, with Flensburg and Löwen. To be honest, they should have won both of those matches, but referees' decisions in the last moments cost them the three points.

- The referees did well for 59 minutes, but you can clearly see in the video that they made a mistake there - said goalkeeper Heinvetter who recoreded around 20 saves.

He got a 1,000 euros fine for criticizing the referees publicly, but he said he's not accepting it. Either way, Füchse dropped 4 points so far, and they are now only two points behind the leading Kiel.

- I'm very happy with what Dagur managed to get from the team so far, especially after all the changes this summer. The matches in Hannover, Lemg , and Friesenheimu are the real tests - said president Hanning.

They were in a 7-3 lead in minute 15 against Löwen, but the match turned into a thriller later.

Denis Spoljaric got injured in that match, and didn't attend the trainings till Thursday. But it's only a minor knee injury.

- Everything is all right, he will play - said coach Sigurdsson for BZ.

- Sven-Sören Christophersen took a huge step forward in the last two weeks. But, we also have to keep it in mind he missed all the preseason matches due to an injury - said coach about his left back.

Christophersen underwent a knee surgery, and Pavel Horak is doing a great job as his substitute 

- Hannover have been at our level in the last two seasons. They're strong this season as well. We have to stop their backs, which will be difficult - said the coach who will have all the players at his disposal.

- We need to play strong defense against their backs, and we need a good goalkeeper. Winning the points against Hannover would help us keep the position in the upper part of the season - said club's sports coordinator Zerbe.

Judging by the quotas, I can see Fuchse can't be trusted. I do trust them, actually, I'm convinced they'll win. This season Hannover is not at the level at which they were the last season, they still didn't earn my respect in this season. They got away against Magdeburg at home, even if it was on their knees. They played a tie with Minden, lost with 12 difference from Lowen. They tied with Lubbeck in the away game. Fuchse has a top game, and they would have won Flensburg and Lowen in the last two rounds, if the referees didn't interfere. They will impose their defense, and Hannover won't be able to keep up. They come complete, and Hannover is missing an important right wing, Torge Johannsen.
