Pulawy are the favorites, but Lubin have yet to lose points at home

Home team's backcourt line is not particularly strong offensively and it's uncertain how it'll handle visiting team's defense

So far, Lubin are picking up where they left off last year. They put up a fight against the teams that are similar in quality, but as soon as they run into a stronger opponent, things get complicated.  There's a very simple reason for that. They don't have the quality to play against stronger opponents. There were no reinforcements, so they can't expect anything better.

- Teams like Kielce are miles ahead of us. We can put up a fight, but that'll only suffice for 20-25 minutes of the match. They are simply better in every way - admitted Marek Kubiszewski.

Champions Kielce crushed them by 15 goals. Now Lubin play three difficult matches. After today's, they play at home against Wisla on Wednesday and away against Pogon, which are also a very difficult opponent. It's obvious that Lubin are missing a few quality players in the backcourt line. The ones that are here now are not at the right level to make a certain progress.

- We have to play good defense. That'll be the key segment if we want to win - said goalkeeper Stankiewicz clearly, who is still out of the team.

Dudek was a solid replacement so far and he'll be starting today as well.

Pulawy come to Lubin as favorites. So far, they're playing as expected and they have yet to disappoint. They have three wins in four matches and a conclusive defeat against Kielce. That didn't upset them very much because they defeated MMTS at home by eight goals in the next round.

The key player is Adam Babicz, who's in a good form, then Sobol, who recovered from an injury and played very well against MMTS. Tarabochia and Barzenkou are injured, but they'll bring quality to the team after they recover.

Pulawy didn't have too difficult a job against Kwidzyn. The quartet Babicz, Szyba, Maslowski and Sobol set the tone for Pulawy play and they were in the lead 17-14 at half-time. In the second half they were up by 7 goals thanks to their good defensive play and Kwidzyn didn't stand a chance anymore.

Pulawy are favorites again today, but they can't underestimate Lubin, who surprised them on their pitch last season.

Today I am governed solely on the quality and recent form of the team, and the Pulawy team is superior to the hosts. Lubin made no particular addition to the team before the start of the season which means the ambitions and capabilities of the team remained the same. The team will probably struggle to stay in the top tier and this should be clearly visible by now. Defeats against Wisla, Kielce and Gornik are not surprising but the home game against Piotrkow showed that it will be difficult for them to get any good results. The backcourt line-up is a bit slow which should do well for the opponents' defense. Pulawy on the other hand is aiming for third place and if they want to get there they must win against teams like Lubin. They won convincingly against Piotrkow and Kwidzyn while they dropped a substantial lead against Legionow because they relaxed too early. These three teams are not worse than Lubin and I see Pulawy on over + 2 today.
