Wolfsburg started off much better than last year

Wolfsburg were the worst team in the last season's opening, but did much better this year. They have seven points in the three matches played so far, while they needed four more matches for the same score last year

Wolfburg didn't allow unlucky defeat to Ingolstadt (they conceded an equalizer 23 seconds before the end and lost in extra time) to mess with them. They played well last Friday and won in Munich.They opened  the match quite badly and Munich were doing better scoring in the 14th minute to take the lead. But, Wolfsburg equalized only three minutes later (their best scorer Dzieduszycki scored). That goal released the pressure and they managed to balance out the game. Both defenses were tough and the score didn't change till 53rd minute when Wolfsburg took the lead (Fauser scored). That proved to be the key moment. The home team went all in, even played without the goaltender but only conceded one more goal. 
The players of the match was Vogl who saved 38/39 attempts and saved them in the moments of Munich's domination.
- Munich are a great time and not many teams will win points here. We managed to do it and couldn't be happier - said Wolfburg's coach Gross.
Wolfsburg opened last season horribly. They were in the last position in January and got in the playoff in the last possible round. They started off much better this season winning 7 points in 3 matches. Gross can't count only on forwards Danner and Moore, but they have enough other players. 
Augsburg opened the season with a disastrous 0-6 defeat to Iserlohn. But, they are better home having won the next two matches. They beat Staubing home on Sunday and Mannheim on Friday.
Markus  Keller was great on their goal. Augsuburg won thanks to his 18 saves and TJ Trevelyan's goal. They scored again in the second period, and again only three minutes later. The visiting team managed to score twice before the end of the match. That is when they went all in and played without the goaltender in the end, but it wasn't their day. Connoly scores for the home team again only 31 second before the end causing excitement with the fans.
- This was a great win against a great team. Keller was great on the goal, and I want to say a special thanks to our fans who gave us the strength to fight - said Augsburg's coach Mitchell.
Defendsman Rob Brown started training again and might play in Wolfsburg. Augsburg is playing differently home and away this season. That, plus Wolfsburg great form doesn't give them much chance tonight.

Wolfsburg had a very convincing start of the season. They didn't have almost any problems with injuries and their offensive line-up (Dzieduszycki, Milley, Fauser) is looking great. They won two out of three their last matches and I am convinced they are heading towards another victory today. Augsburg are not that bad, but they tend to underperform when playing away from home. They proved that multiple times throughout the last season and also during first three rounds this year. If the match was taking place in Augsburg I might have suggested a different outcome but since it is taking place in Wolfsburg I expect home team to win with ease.
