Arendal want to open the season in their arena with a victory. So far, Runar have played two peculiar matches in which they scored many goals but also conceded many

In their second match Arendal showed again why they are one of the title contenders this season but they still don't enjoy the trust of the betting houses, which is not such a bad thing after all. They played a very good match against Drammen, not allowing the home side too many chances. 

- These two victories show that we are on a good path and that we are doing a good job. We have defeated some strong teams and that pleases me, especially because we played in away matches. Many difficult challenges still lie ahead of us but this is important for our self-confidence - coach Gautestad was satisfied after their win. 


Five minutes into the match and it was already 5-5, so it was evident that the Drammen defense and goalkeeper Rajkovic are about to have serious problems with the Arendal's attacks, particularly with middle back Svenningsen, who had already scored 10 goals before half-time. In the second-half, Drammen made more technical errors and Arendal knew how to capitalize on that. Ten minutes into the second-half and the score was already 21-15, with the home time having no chances to return in the match, especially because of their poor performance in the offense. 


Following their away victory at Follo, Runar achieved also a home victory over Baekkelaget in what had been a high-scoring match that ended with as much as 72 goals, which is a bit surprising for a league such as Norway's. Hence, Runar demonstrated what their style will be like this season and showed their attacking potential. 


Especially impressive in both matches was Rivesjo, scoring 20 goals, 9 of those against Baekelaget. 


The visiting team never stood a chance. Their defense simply didn't function they way they wanted. It is a difficult blow to score 33 goals away from home and still lose. In the 23rd minute, Runar took a 13-10 lead and that was the turning point. 19 seconds into the second half and the result was 20-13 for the hosts, meaning the story was all over. 


- If we want to achieve something, we have to win points in our arena - coach Kurtovic was clear as day. 


A thing that could prove important is the fact that regardless of 39 goals scored and 33 goals conceded, the man of the match was home team goalkeeper Hallberg. When a goalkeeper is the man of the match, and the team conceded 33 goals, that doesn't look too good in the media. 


Runar failed to win points at Arendal last season and today they have a difficult mission on their hands once again.

This is first home match for Arendal this season. So far they played two away matches and they have won on both occasions in a very convincing manner. Those victories have certainly filled them with confidence and they must use the momentum they have. Before the season even started many experts have stated that Arendal could be the most pleasant surprise this year and if they wish to meet these expectations they must win points at home. Although Runar had pretty good start of the season their defence doesn't really look good. Their goalkeeper was the man of the match against BSK and they still managed to concede 33 goals that day. Arental are a better team and I believe they can win this one. Handicap bet is a smart move here. I expect Arendal to win comfortably.
