Cesson will try to take advantage of poor form and PSG's lack of game coordination

The away team barely beat Chambery and Dinamo last week, and they have to face Lino Cervar in Skoplje this weekend

Even though they lost some important players (Boultiff, Ternel...), and brought only Damir Batinovic, Cesson had the best possible season opening. The point against Chambery at home was followed by an away win at Nimes. Nimes are the league newcomers, but they have the quality and they are a note-worthy opponents that will cause a lot of troubles and have every right to count on staying in the elite tier.

Their goalkeeper Genty was brilliant in this game (19 saves), their pivot Igor Anic scored 6/9, wing Hochet got 4 out of 4 and center back Batinovic had 0/4, but it didn't matter this time as the defense was excellent and they got their first away points.

- I will not fool anyone, this game will be tough - said coach David Christmann calmly, aware that he lost in this arena last year against Paris 32-27 and 34-23 in Paris.

Igor Anic added an interesting remark...

- I am not surprised by the fact that they are still not playing well. When you have a lot of money you just buy and buy, and in one moment the names you have on the court are not everything. If there is a good time to play against them it is now. 

In addition, PSG are torn between D1 and the Champions League, they had huge difficulties against Dinamo Minsk last weekend, today they are in Rennes and then they have an away game against Metalurg in Skoplje.

It all came down to individual qualities of Narcisse, Vori and Abalo, and the decision of coach Philippa Gardent to play Vori as the front player in their 5-1 defense. They overturned several balls that Abalo converted into goals.

- It is true it looked complicated at some moments, and a lot of teams are still finding their form. I think the first half wasn't exactly a beauty. The second was a joy to watch. We have the desire to win, but the momentum was missing. It wasn't a disaster but we have set very high expectations for ourselves - said Luc Abalo.

- I think it will take some time to see the best of PSG, but seeing how everyone is impatient, at lot of anger comes up. This is not Kiel, Kiel is a 100 years old, and PSG is still 'under construction', there has to be a culture and it is up to use to build that culture - said Daniel Narcisse and we are very much interested to see what happens to PSG after World Cup in Quatar when handball takes second place for the Quatari.

Coach Gardent can count on his full squad and will only be missing fringe player Zacharia N'Diaye.

 

After a point taken in the match against Chambery and beating Nimes, this match for Cesson is one of those nothing to lose situations. They demonstrated proves on the offense in the Chambery game, and have fared equally well against the division newcomers, Nimes who needed to win that match. With roster bustling with big names like Hansen, Narcisse, Kopljar, Abalooa, Vori and Csaszar, PSG's offensive options are innumerable. Against Minsk they scored 22 goals in the second half and such a game is expected today as well. Cesson are not a classically burly French handball team, with lighter backs (the brothers Briffe, Dore, Batinovic) who will not be able to stand up to PSGs offense, and I’m convinced they will go for easy goals and quick ball transition. Cesson are unchanged since last year, when they conceded 32 and 34 goals respectively. As the PSG defense is still not fully organized and does not instill much confidence, Cesson will give a helping hand to this over and we will probably see an over 60 goals match, possibly more.
