The absence of Pietrus will be quite a handicap in the rebounding segment, especially for the offensive rebounds, which brought Nancy a lot of points in the recent games. Weisz clearly points out that defense is the key to everything else, and they will lose some of it on account of Pietrus' injury, but I doubt they will embark on a shooting duel with ASVEL. Nancy do not have a long enough bench, and are missing another starter now, meaning Pietrus' performance will be sorely missed. Harris had a brilliant shooting evening vs Limoges the other night, yet Nancy still remained at only 74 points. They only crossed this margin on two occasions this season, vs the offensively focused Pau Orthez and vs Dijon, a game where they scored 83 in regular time, but also 33 in the first 10 minutes. On the other hand, ASVEL are on the rise in the championship, and Vincent wants a reaction here after the last game vs Ulm. Only Strasbourg and Nanterre managed to score over this margin to ASVEL in the championship, they limited Pau Orthez to 71 in regular time, and allowed 64 and 63 in their last championship games. In the Eurocup they limited their opponents to below this margin in four of six games, took over from Ulm and Paris, teams that are way more offense oriented than Nancy. I think they definitely have a chance at victory here, especially as Nancy are missing Pietrus, but I've decided to go with this option, which should in my opinion be a good bet even if the home team should win.
