Josh Smith spends way too much time on the court and fires off much too many shots for this margin to be realistic. It's true he stayed under four times in the last six games, but he fired of a combined 94 shots in those, making only 36 of them. Before the "crisis", he scored at least 15 points in nine of his ten game, while in the previous two Cavs matches he scored 25 (10/18) and 18 (7/15) points. The Pistons are still in the playoff race, so I have no doubt he will get his 35 minutes today, which will be enough for him to go over this margin in my opinion.
