Bayreuth are currently at 10-22 ratio, which means only one step ahead of Tubbingen and Wurzburg who are in relegation zone. In case of two defeats, Bayreuth could even end up in the second league, so they definitely see this match against Trier as important. In the last round, they have an away match against Wurzburg, and it won't be a simple task. There are a few reasons why today's match against Trier is an ideal one to solve their fears about staying in the league. First, the opponent don't have to fulfill any goals, they secured their staying and are now only finishing the job. Second, Trier come quite weakened. They'll miss their best scorers Trevon Hughes and Laurynas Samenas who are injured, and another back, Anthony Canty, is out from before. Their backcourt seems slim.
