Even though Spain haven't lost a match at this EC, they have been far from impressive. They barely beat France, they beat Greece by 17 points and the Greeks are the weakest team here. They struggled against Latvia whom they beat by 6 points and then beat the Czechs by 12 points, but they struggled once again and beat their opponents in the final stages. And this Russia beat the Czechs with a lot less trouble. Russia should be motivated today as they lost against France and Turkey by a narrow margin and have 1-2 score, while the Spaniards have secured the quarterfinals. Last year, these two teams had almost identical squads and Spain won after a very tight game. In comparison to that game, Russia have improved their defense (new coach) and the Spaniards are still looking for their form from last year.
