ASVEL's fall in the last weeks is incredible, but I really believe that series will end now. Parker fired the coach, criticized the players and said this can't go on. He said he's pressuring them because he can't waste any more time. They have to win this, Leader's Cup is getting further away, and even the playoffs could become questionable. I expect them to react today, because they played a lot better than the four defeats would suggest. ASVEL had a double-digit advantage against Rouen and Paris by the end of the third period, even controlled the game against Oostende, and if the team didn't lack self-confidence, they'd won all three. Gran Canaria were stronger, but they're strong in general. I expect ASVEL to show their frustration today, they'll be really eager after everything that's happened this week. Boulogne could react good after two disastrous performances, but the problems are deeper with them. They lack desire to play a good defense, and they conceded 231 points in 80 minutes of playing. Whether Castano managed to fix anything this week remains to be seen, but even if he boosted his team's morale, this is a game that doesn't depend on them. ASVEL are untouchable when they're on the right level. Even when they had much better defensive performances, they lost at home against weaker teams. Gravelines celebrated by 15, Orleans by 6, Reims by 4 points difference. Boulogne defeated only Chalon who had a disastrous offensive night. It's questionable what their engagement will be like today, but if it is like it was in the last games, ASVEL will celebrate by 20. If they play well, maybe close to 10. It's simple, this game is too important for ASVEL, the difference in quality is obvious, and I don't think even Carter can help much. They know him well in ASVEL, and will know how to stop him.
