This is a big handicap, but the current Samara is so limited and here I see them being crushed again. On Sunday they were left at -44 at home against CSKA who rotated a lot, played with the whole crew, and no one played over 24 minutes. Today they will be additionally weakened, the most they've been in the last couple of weeks, since Sokolovski won't have Zarjazko at his disposal. Without him he only has four senior players from the start of the season who, on average, combined score 21 points per match in VTB League. Bristol (7.9 points and 10.2 rebounds) stands out the most, but Sokolovski himself said that he is tired. Puskov (3.1 points) and Zuev (4.1 points) are half-injured, and there's only captain Toporov (6.5 points in the league). The rest of the team is made up of juniors who are still not on VTB level and can't cope with its challenges. Samara lost -11 in Irkutsk in the Cup with a similar line-up. They were limited at 48 points, and that was the time when Zarjazko, Fidij and Artesin scored 26 out of the 48 points. Today I don't see a way they will be able to stand up to Zenit who are entering the match completely rested, ready, and willing to play after a 10-day break. There's too much difference in quality here, Zenit are offensively powerful and fast and can break their opponents, and Samara don't have good offensive solutions and will again remain on low numbers. The margin is high, but I would be surprised if such a mutilated away team would be able to cover it...
