UNICS won all three head-to-heads so far this season, but the circumstances are a lot more different now. Score-wise this match is a lot more important for Zenit who are fighting for the third place at the end of the regular part. UNICS will almost certainly be number six, and Zenit would be a better choice in the quarter-finals that hizny, and far better than Lokomotiv... However, if we put that aside, UNICS are already thinking about the rematch against Lokomotiv in three days which is a lot more important than today's in St. Petersburg. They have a very though task on Wednesday, but they don't plan to surrender and it's going to be interesting to see their approach in today's match. Last weekend they were in a similar situation (with Langford), they were declassed in Astana (67-87). Zenit are an even stronger team and they won't have it easy. Besides, they won't be able to count on their best shot Langford who recently scored 24 and 25 points against Zenit in the Eurocup. His absence will be hard to fill in. Zenit are fully focused on this match, they're willing to win, and Karasev himself pointed out that the mood in the team is great. The team is practically complete and I think they're the bigger favorites in this match than the odds suggest. Recently they played two equal matches in St. Petersburg against Himki; they won one and I think they will succeed in it today as well.
