Bietigheim's latest results show that their ambitions are not without basis and their are aiming for the title. They earned five straight wins, and among them is one against defending champions Thuringer, and three days ago they defeated another title candidate, Leipzig at their own court (30-27), and they won the second half by eight goals (17-9). Based on the names, they have one of the best back lines in the German championship (Worz, Visser i S. Muller), and it exploded against Leipzig, Nina Worz scored 9 goals, and right back Suzane Muller 8 goals, while Baudouin scored 3. Today they are facing Buxtehuder, current runner-ups who have earned two straight wins, but Dortmund and Bad Wildungen are nowhere near the same player potential Bietigheim have. Buxtehuder have lost all five games against the teams in the Top 5 (Metzingen, Oldenburg, Leipzig), and the difference wasn't smaller than 4 goals in any of those games. They have a good back line, but they lost the width they had last season, and it is nowhere near as wide as the home team's. Since this is the third game in eight days for both teams, I expect the width to come into play even more in today's game, and if we add to that current form and home field, it is more likely that the home team will win today by 4-5 goals.
