That defeat had come on their home ground against direct competitors Zaragoza, but it didn't shake their confidence as they returned to winning ways at Tenerife. Coach Oltra fully believes his team can only improve and that their abilities will grow with each passing week. Today's game is an excellent opportunity to win another three points, which I'm sure they'll do. Namely, they are facing the young sprouts of Real Madrid's academy who have gotten lost in the wilderness of the Segunda following a generational change. They've been stuck at the bottom from the start of the season with eight defeats and just one slim win at home against Lugo. This team is far inferior to the one from the last season and as such, this inexperienced side has nothing to hope for against a team competing for an express return to the Primera.     Ceahlaul are simply relentless and now they are in serious contention for a European spot. The arrival of coach Miriuta has changed everything as they now give everything on the pitch, no matter where they play. They've lost only once so far - in the first game at Steaua. From that day on, they have managed to impress against superior teams, which definitely puts them into the favorites' shoes here. They are especially effective at home, rarely making any concessions. They have only allowed two goals so far, and those came in their last two games against Concordia and Brasov, which is a good sign for the selected bet. Namely, both teams to score seems a great pick to me as I expect a fierce battle in every part of the pitch from these two teams. I believe this game will not end in a draw, but due to - in my opinion - CFR Cluj's very good recent performances, I wouldn't stick my neck out for the home team win. After a draw against Pandurii and a good performance against Petrolul, which could have gone either way but ended in their defeat, as well as after demolishing Otelul in their most recent game by 7-2, it is visible that former champions are hitting their stride and starting to perform they way they were expected to at the start of the season. They were touted as serious title contenders, alongside Steaua. There is no more time to win the title as the distance between them and Steaua is too big, but they can still catch a train to Europe. I believe that CFR will be up to the task in this match again. They can definitely score one goal at least, just like the home team can. Details

    New first division team Zawisza are doing well in their new environment. They've surprised everyone with their offensive potential and attacking approach, but in this match they will miss their top scorer Vascncelos (the first marksman of the Cypriot league) who has already scored five goals since he arrived at the club. Coach Tarasiewicz doesn't have an appropriate replacement for him and someone from the midfield will have to take his role. It has to be mentioned that they have no natural striker in their lineup. It's true, their midfield is also dangerous and is able to do plenty of demage, but at what extent they would be able to do that remains to be seen, considering that they face the best defense in the league and the only undefeated team after 11 rounds. This is the first time that the home team will face such strong opponent. Wisla are literally flying this season, especially after victory over Legia. In that match they proved that they are candidates for much greater achievements then they originally intended. Three points difference between them and the league leaders Legia (yesterday Gornik took over the top spot after winning against Slaska) now appears attainable and there is no doubt that the old fox on Wisla's bench, Smuda, will know how to do his job till the end and of course in this match. Teamwork is the most important attribute in visitors’ team, along with league's first marksman, experienced Broszek. I'm convinced that Wisla won't lose this one. Moreover, they are closer to victory, but I'll go for more cautious approach that returns investment even if game ends with draw. Details

    It is clear that Barcelona B are in a crisis. They've lost three consecutive games and did not score a single goal in any of them. Along with the bad form of his team, coach Eusebio has only 13 players at his disposal for this game, to which he added five from younger categories. Obligations in the national team and injuries are the biggest cause of that. I am not convinced they will start to play well today.     While it is true that the Poles lost 3-1 to Sweden just over a month ago, this result doesn't reflect the true status, i.e. the true strength of their team. Now they have a chance to get back at the Swedes in the same measure and sit at the top of the group table. Their ranks are bolstered with two quality players, midfielder and team captain Furman and forward Milik, who scored three goals so far in the qualifying campaign. There are no notable absences in the Poland team here, and coach Dorna can field his best team in what is probably the key match on the road to Euro. It needs to be added that this is one of the most talented Poland sides in the last several years. Therefore, I think they have a good chance of beating Sweden at their home ground, where they previously defeated Malta (2-0) and Turkey (3-1), the latter being another contender alongside Sweden. The Swedes, on the other hand, after beating Poland - not as convincingly as the final score may indicate - managed to get a point in Istanbul with a goal in the final seconds. The league table looks promising for them after two fixtures. Still, just like in Poland's case, this game could be decisive in many ways. But they are arriving in Krakow without their three starters and are expected to face a fired-up Polish side. I am close to believing that the home team will win this match, but I'll go for a safer bet, although I do recommend betting on Poland's win here for those willing to take a little more risk. Details

    No need to waste words on the home team as it's a clear as day who and what they are. An amateur team should be no obstacle for the Romanians - and they haven't been one to any team in the group so far. A goal difference of 0-24 and eight defeats are Andorra's tally, and it will look even uglier after this game. The reason for this is the seriousness and necessity with which the Romanians are going into this game. Romania have as many points as Turkey, a point less than Hungary, but they have the best schedule by the end of this campaign, while their competitors have to face the Netherlands. Due to this, six points should be a given, but even if everything goes as planned, goal difference could play a major role. Both of their competitors have the upper hand here, and this is why Romania need to score as many goals as possible in this game against the minnows. Anything other than a high-scoring win could prove insufficient for them, and this should secure a serious approach from them in the attacking department.

    Not many believed in the "new" Wisla team under the guidance of coach Smuda, but now, after 10 weeks, they've earned the title of the only undefeated team in the league. Their granite defense has let in only five goals so far, by far the least in the Ekstraklasa. There are no real stars in the team, except perhaps for striker Broszek, but their teamwork is outstanding and this has brought them to the fourth place for now. True enough, this is a derby and one should stay away from such games where anything is possible, but Wisla have a lot bigger chance of staying undefeated than losing here. They are close to full-strength, with only important defender Jovanovic missing, as he did in their last league game, but Smuda has an adequate replacement for him. Compared to Legia, his absence is a minor issue, given that the visitors are coming without their pacey wingers Radovic and Kosecki, captain Vrdoljak, experienced forwards Saganowski, first-choice goalkeeper Kuciak, young defender Cichocki, midfielder Ojamaa and reserve striker Mikita. While some of these players have been out for some time, the new absentees are Radovic and Vrdoljak, which will definitely be felt on the pitch regardless of their considerable squad depth. Legia are also playing in the Europa League. They have two defeats there so far, while they have played some atypical matches in the Ekstraliga, open affairs in which they conceded a lot of goals. Wisla definitely have the means to defend themselves and perhaps even win here. I believe they will get a positive result in this match, as fatigue must catch up with the visitors somewhere, given that they've been playing two games a week ever since the season started. It should be added that Wisla striker Broszek has an excellent score against Legia. He has netted 10 goals to date against them, and the way he's been playing this season, I wouldn't be surprised if he continued his run. Details

    The difference between Concordia and Astra is like heaven and earth. Thus in this game there is a single favorite, and that is Astra. Although at the beginning they were burdened with European playing they did not achieve any lesser results, but they do so when Europe is not breathing down their neck. Isailla's team just bunches up goals wherever they appear. Their offensive potential is huge, best in the Liga 1, which is seen by their results. Currently they are first on the table, and that's where they want to stay before somewhat harder challenges in the rounds that follow. A given win must not be questioned and I'm sure they'll play another fantastic game. Their opponent is made to measure, a team I've already written about. A team that currently does not have sufficient quality for this league, but a team that is in the making and that, if it manages to avoid relegation this season, might be a big surprise in the next one. Until then, with opponents such as Astra they have nothing to look for. I expect a certain win by Astra. Details

    In the three matches played at home this season, Jagiellonia have a goal difference of 10:6. Their game is based on an attacking philosophy, and coach Stokowiec said something to that effect before the game against Cracovia. He wants to play a good game in front of his fans and win, because they have already lost two out of their three home games. On the other hand, Cracovia have been playing well away from home for a team that just got promoted to the Ekstraklasa. Their previous away game was a smooth 3-0 win against Slask. Last week they were the better team in their encounter but they still lost the match. The away team coach is also claiming that they will try to attack and win all three points. What with the statistics, both team's style of play and statements made by officials from both clubs, this game should see some goals. Details

    Quality football is played at Piatra Nemat this year. Not only that, but they play equally well in away games, if we put aside the opening loss vs Steaua, their only loss in this season's eight rounds. The team confirmed their quality vs Petrolul, Pandurii and Steaua, despite the loss, and additional proof came in the last round vs Astra, where they took a point. Clashes with teams which are the very top of Liga 1 gives us a realistic view of the potential Miriuta's team. They scored three wins and a tie with Brasov at home. Concordia offers them a new chance to take three points, which they will surely not pass. I already wrote how the guests were preparing for second league football, and will probably wobble along till winter, although that is also questionable, unless they bring in a few reinforcements. There is no reason why the home team should not provide another good match, so they are in my opinion big favorites in their home arena. Defense has worked great so far, allowing only one goal, while offense scored seven. There is a significant difference in quality between these two teams, and the home team should win this with a handicap. We will take the Asian, which also pays well. Details

    Mirandes have been in a mini-crisis and they go into this match with two defeats in a row. To be honest, they played two extremely solid opponents, but they had faced strong challenges at the beginning of the season and they had been able to cope then. They haven't scored in their last two matches and now they're having troubles with unavailable players. Their first goalkeeper Prieto is unavailable along with most of the midfielders so coach Arconada has a lot to work out before the match. He hasn't got a lot of quality players so it's bound to have an effect on his team's game. On the other hand, Ponferradina have been playing great. They suffered only one defeat, against Cordoba in the first round, when they conceded a goal during injury time. After that, they haven't been beaten in five games. They've won three times and had to settle for a draw twice. There's no reason they can't keep this form up and play another good game. All the first team players are available and they have a very good head-to-head score against Mirandes so they're a clear favorite here. I'll choose the safer option because the odds are very good for it, too. Details

Their performances this season were solid and nothing would make them happier than winning three points today.     After returning to the "Liga 1" by legal resources, Concordia managed to get two wins that lifted them sky-high. However, those two wins did come against U. Cluj and Corona, the weakest two teams. The cold shower and hard landing came in the next two rounds. The real picture of their potential could be seen in the matches against Panduri and Petrolul. They are a team that have been preparing for second league football, and they will be fighting for "crumbs" until winter, regardless of coach Chirila's huge optimism. However, the main problem in this game are the absences of important players. This is the first time they have ran into this obstacle, and the coach himself confirmed this will hamper them a lot. They are a small team with a short bench, and it is hard for them to make up such losses. Otelul on the other hand have been badly beaten by Astra, but the defeat is the result of two red cards. They are coming to Chiajna to pick up three points that would redeem them in front of their fans and lift up their confidence. So far they have been losing to teams competing for the top of the league table, while beating the rest of the competition. I believe they are about to win again, but will take a safer option.     Numancia played their last home game against Las Palmas, the match I wrote about, predicting their win. They were a better team, leading by a goal, but conceding a late equalizer out of a controversial penalty decision. After that match, they lost to Jaen in Copa del Rey (however, that didn't unsettle them so much) and were defeated at Cordoba, despite taking the lead in the 2nd minute. I expect Numancia playing better than against Las Palmas, learning their lessons from those defeats. They shouldn't underestimate their opposition, despite the fact that the visitors will have seven players out. Truth be told, it's a long-term problem for Sabadell, one that they are getting used to - taking four points from their last two matches. They were less than impressive though, placing only on shot on target in their last match and winning with a penalty, while taking snatching the win at Alaves in the 89th minute. They have been quite lucky, but this time the hosts won't be underestimating them, so I'm convinced that Numancia will settle the score early to prevent any surprises. Details

    Although Lechia had a promising start to the season, they have a lot of fluctuation in the game coupled with the loss of concentration. Coach Probierz still has a lot of work with his team. If he wants to stay at the top, he has to resolve the issue of team coordination. They achieved excellent results so far. They could've done a lot better, but also a lot worse. The offense did an excellent job in that kind of play. They scored in every match and I believe they won't have any trouble scoring this time neither. Their opponents are recently promoted Zawisza, which bought a few players and transformed into a respectable team. Last week they won their first game this season. The have an enormous attacking potential, almost the same as the home team's. The only match they haven't scored in was the season opener against Jagiellonia. They scored in the following six matches. Both teams have excellent offenses, but their defenses are bad. I expect at least one goal on both sides. The home team will go after the win and the visiting team surely won't play defensively, but they'll be looking for a chance for another three points. Besides, they rarely played defensively in the previous rounds. Details

    Gaz consolidated the ranks and now looks much better. Its game makes sense again, while the win over Corona last weekend came as ordered. It broke ice by winning for the first time this season, as it has definitely been relieved of enormous pressure. Although this is its first win, it deserved one much earlier. Against Vaslui on home turf, it received the equalizing goal only in the 94th minutes, while against Steaua it had the advantage of two goals, but in the end it did not endure (however, Steaua is a special world in the League 1 competition). However, these results and the victory over Corona, as well as a point away against Viitorula say that it is headed upward. After three opening defeats, which was a big surprise, it is currently meeting the expectations, and I hope it will fulfill even with this win today against, the feeble U.Cluj. The guest is definitely one of the main candidates for relegation. This was before the start of the season, and now it just meets the expectations. Without money you can not win, and this is a true example of that. Last season it went through calvary, but it managed to win its stay, but now it will be difficult to repeat such a thing. After the derby in which it scored, the atmosphere was a little revived, but the derby should not be taken as an example because these are special games in which the game goes beyond all expectations. To the others it is only a single point in seven rounds. At the away games it recorded three defeats, of which the latter came against Dinamo and falls into one of the most difficult. In fact, it lost 6-0 (3-1 to Astra, against Otelul 2-1).

    Podbeskidzie are struggling this season, as expected, and are far from their spring form which ensured their stay in Ekstraklasa. Home team coach does not have a true striker, his midfielders score the goals, but overall it does not look good. True, in their opening seven matches they have only two defeats, but playing for a draw will not ensure their stay in the first league. But, even if they want to go for a win, they do not have the strength for it. Although they won against Korona it should be noted that Korona has not won in away match for more than a year. Podbeskidzie struggles in home matches, it was the same during the last season and nothing has changed in this one. When they have to dictate the match they simply can not find their game, they lack good players and they play better in away matches since they rely on breakaways. Today they are faced with even more difficult task since they are missing a few key players. They managed to compensate for it in Lodz, due to the aforementioned style of play, but I think they can not do it again in today's match. Jagiellonia finally showed a part of the arsenal at their disposal. Their season started good, but then their play dropped but they have surely returned to better plays after a win over Rucht and I expect them, as I already said, to be at the top of the league table this season, i.e. to confirm they are back on tracks by winning in today's match. They are coming to take three points and I believe they can do it. Their strength is in their collective play and in joker from the bench - Albanian player Bekim Balaj who is their leading scorer with five goals. The visiting team has all players available, not including those that are injured for a long time, so that is another advantage for them. They do not lack self-confidence and I see them as a better team in today's match and a team that is closer to a win that their opponents. Details

    There is no need to say much about Alcorcon and their Santo Domingo stadium. You had a chance to learn who this team is on its home field in previews. In last seasons they also earned most of their points at home and they started this season almost identically. They have two decisive wins without conceded goal against Tenerife and Recreativo. They had their first loss last week in away game against Mallorca, but they have soon (in the middle of this week) returned the favor to Mallorca and defeated it with reserve roster 4-1. All in all, the home team plays well and it is obvious that in this season they will again be one of the teams to fight for the top rankings. The visiting team comes to Alcorcon without three important players, among them are their goaltender and their first striker. In the last seasons they were unable to win at Santo Domingo and now they are going there vulnerable and I am not so sure they can escape a defeat against very good home team. Details

    After three weeks long pause, the football is back in Romania. Otelul played some solid matches and they have three defeats and three victories in the domestic league so far. They are playing some good football and they are hopeful they can stop the team that looks unstoppable this season. They are always an awkward opponent for Astra, and the matches in Galati had always been something that fans look forward to.

    In their previous encounters there has always been a lot of goals, and today I expect no exceptions. Otelul is known for their offensive guard when playing at home and they rather choose to score goals from attacking actions then just sitting there and waiting for their opponent to make mistakes. Fact that the away team has the best attacking record in the league (16 goals in just 5 matches) also speaks in favor of such a prediction.

    Petrolul are no longer playing European games and they can focus on the championship and the Cup entirely.
