    It's true Zalgiris defeated Real in the Euroleague, but it doesn't mean they'll automatically dominate. That match took away a lot of energy, it was only two days ago and the players are worn out both physically and mentally. Krapikas debuted in a great way, but it was obvious Real are miles away from motivation, and Zalgiris had Dentmon in his perhaps best form this season. Today, they can hardly expect Krapikas to force him that much, and even if he does, this handicap is still too high. Lietkabelis are fighting for the playoffs and will do their best to get the win here. Things are very dramatic, Lietkavelis are sevent with 12-19 ratio, Nevezis 11-18, Juventus 11-19, and Dzukija 11-20. Only two teams will be fighting for the playoffs, and two rounds are left after this match. Lietkabelis are decent at home, only Lietuvos and Nevezis defeated them with difference bigger than this one at the very beginning of the season. On the other hand, Zalgiris have only two wins with more than 19 points difference this entire season, at the beginning of season, in October and November. They played against Real less than 48 hours ago, and I doubt we'll see them crush anyone here. Details

    Roanne and Nanterre will play the most interesting game of the day. For both teams, this will be the last chance to reach their goal for this season and we can expect a huge battle. If they want to reach the playoffs, Nanterre have to win last four games. Donnadieu's players have significantly improved their level of defense in recent weeks. Nanterre have limited their opponents to 68 points or less in their last 5 away games, and the high-scoring game against Strasbourg should not be taken as a valid measure as this is a completely different case. Roanne can win only through strong defense as their team has the least attacking potential in the league. Roanne have gone over this margin in only four home games this season, at the start against Paris, and against three weakest teams in the league - Le Havre, Antibes and Cholet. Every other stronger opponent has left Roanne at low figures and I expect the same today as they are hosting the reigning champions with an imperative to win. A defeat would mean saying farewell to a chance of defending the title and we can expect Nanterre at their best. They limited the second division teams in the Cup to 61 and 56 points, they allowed 61 and 67 in difficult away games against ASVEL and Orleans, respectively.     To predict who wins in the French championship when it's this tight seems like flipping a coin, but I simply don't see hoe Orleans could jeopardize Strasbourg today. Collet's team started playing like they can after they were eliminated from Europe. Strasbourg scored 90+ goals in their last matches. Today, they'll host Orleans, who played above their abilities this season, in my opinion. I appreciate what Hevre does, his players do more than the team can thanks to their aggressiveness, but if I would have to pinpoint one team I don't see in the playoffs, it would be Orleans. Their frontcourt is the team's weakness, the opponents know how to punish that, and Strasbourg should dominate today, with the giants Anderson and Duport in the paint and the jump. It means Orleans will turn to their back shot again, but Collet is ready for that and will definitely warn his players about that segment. Besides, Greer not playing, which is a possibility, will be a big blow for the guests. Orleans are usually much weaker in the away matches, and will look for their chance for the playoffs through two home wins, and Strasbourg want to continue the positive row and the fight for the best place before the playoffs. In the last eight home matches, only ASVEL managed to use Greer's departure a few days prior, and Strasbourg's weak night, but Strasbourg convincingly won the other seven matches. Six of those with at least 12 points difference, only Le Mans left home with -7, but we should point out it was 47-29 at the half-time, and Jackson's team used the fact that Strasbourg relaxed then. Besides, Strasbourg were still in the Eurocup then, and had an away match only two days after in Kragujevac. Now, they come to this match ready, and rested, so I expect them to continue their streak. They're offensively ready to score well over their 80 points, and Orleans can follow that up only with a fantastic scorer night. Details

Barcelona went over this margin in five out of the last seven home games, the total number of goals was at least 66 in 4 of those. They managed to score 41 goal even against Granollers, who have an extremely good defense. I think this game will be similar to the one against Bidasoa. The final score was 47-28 then. Aragorn's youngsters are definitely able to keep up with the higher pace, and they are completely relaxed for the game. Their team was quite different last year, but the game at Blaugrana should be similar to those games. The total number of goals was 65 and 70 in those two last games.     UNICS were stopped completely in the fiery atmosphere in Belgrade in front of 25,000 fans. It was just a question whether Zvezda would break under the pressure or play well above their abilities and the latter happened even though the game would have a very tight ending if not for the fantastic defense in last period. The situation in Kazan will be quit different as the home team will not have that support but will show their quality. I honestly believe UNICS are on a par with Khimki, a team that could be a contender for Euroleague quarter-finals. Zvezda have not lost against more than 11 points this season but the only teams that are close to UNICS in terms of quality are Maccabi and perhaps Panathinaikos. Lokomotiv are certainly not as UNICS demolished them in both games. UNICS have not a lost a home game this season, and if we disregard the initial stages of the season, the only teams that were defeated by a single-digit margin were Valencia and Oostende, while Lokomotiv and Lietuvos were beaten by 28 and 20 points, respectively. This is the first game of the season for UNICS and I expect them to be at the right level, as they can't repeat that poor attacking performance and I have no doubt they can keep Zvezda in low figures, perhaps under 60 points. I trust UNICS completely and I don't see Zvezda as the finalists here and I simply have to go for this handicap in a situation like this. Details

    Two H2H's this season have shown that Le Mans don't like playing against Nancy. Coach Jackson admitted that as well even though he believes his players will react better today. However, Nancy are much better and stronger at home than away. If Le Mans scored 56 and 49 points at home and lost by a double-digit difference, I don't think they will get 70 points today so easily. That option is also great as Le Mans have scored 68 points in both games last season, but I think Nancy will settle this with a handicap. The game is much more important for them, Le Mans are a win ahead and have an easier schedule in upcoming rounds. Nancy are able to score 75-80 points against any team at home, Falker and Pietrus should ensure their domination in the air, while their strength has proven to be a too big obstacle for Wood and the guys.     Oktyabr are still a team with high attacking potential but the arrival of Wafer has brought them better discipline and better performances in defense. The results are visible at first glance: Oktyabr have played 9 games with him and have not allowed over 84 points in every game, unlike in the rest of the season when they allowed under 83 points on only one occasion. In mentioned 9 games, we should definitely mention three games with CSKA and the game against Lokomotiv a week ago. The team from Krasnodar managed to get back with 46 points in the second half but still stayed well below this margin. Looking at all games Lokomotiv have played this season (43 in all competitions), they have gone over in only 4. A slightly smaller stake on account of a possible relaxed attitude if they settled this game early, but no one can tell me this is a realistic margin. Lokomotiv have a crucial Euroleague game in a few days and will try to do their job as soon as possible and I see them closer to 80-85 points, maybe even less, but definitely not over 90. Oktyabr have shown their quality in recent weeks, there is a chance they make the life for their opponents even more difficult and this bet should go through then without a problem. A counter-handicap is also a good bet as Lokomotiv will rest their leading players for the game against Bayern if they get a bigger lead here. Details

    This margin is a consequence of results of the matches two days ago. However, in all those results, the Polish and the Czech had a big role. On one hand, the Polish played a fantastic defense in both matches, while the Czech were so bad offensively they couldn't play a game with lots of goals. Still, I think we should be seeing a different story today, the most efficient match of the tournament. This is a battle for the second place of the tournament, realistically, a match without a big meaning, like the one from the European championship in Denmark. Then, they scored 72 goals and we can hardly expect something like that today. I think 55, or even 60, is more realistic. Russia and Belarus played three friendly matches last year, all went over this margin (55, 58, and 59 goals). It all points to over, this margin seems to be set because of the matches on the tournament so far, but considering the friendly relationship between these two national teams, I expect a match without aggressiveness, faster rhythm and a bigger number of goals.     I definitely can't agree that Spain are so much of a favorite here. They had an easy job against the Swiss yesterday, and it affected this margin, but the fact is that Cadenas have a youthful team on this tournament, and not many seed players from Denmark. The Swedes are probably the most serious of all the competition contestants, they struggled with the realization for the first 30 minutes yesterday, or the win would be even more prominent. They seem powerful defensively, and are definitely able to keep this Spanish team on a low number of goals, so I think they at least have equal chances to win in this match. I think the Spanish can hardly win this with 3,4 or more goals difference, but if they do win, it will be with one or two balls. That's why I take this bet with confidence. Details

    CSKA certainly have more quality than Galatasaray but I don't expect a trashing here. Every point counts for Galatasaray and a minimal defeat is the same as a win for them as it is very probably Lokomotiv will end their game in Madrid in a double digit deficit. Even if CSKA dominate the game and get a 20-point lead, Galata will be very motivated and able to cover this spread. CSKA are in a similar situation in their battle for their top spot, and point difference might decide the game but I get the feeling it's not the primary thing for the Muscovites. Last week, they hosted Bayern, they didn't chase the point difference and lost the last period by 21-11, as was often the case this season when they felt they had the win in their hands. In addition, they have an away game in Tel Aviv that they may or may not win, let alone win by a bigger margin than Real in Kaunas. Messina's priority is getting Teodosić back in the rhythm and any kind of win will do. Gala's results in the Turkish league have to be taken with a pinch of salt, Euroleague is the priority and the Turks are aware they have a great chance here. They don't lack the quality, they lost in Madrid by -5, they won in Krasnodar, Munich and Kaunas. Considering the situation, I believe they can hold this under 10 points of difference, even threaten the Muscovites if the hosts don't approach this game with 100% dedication. Details

    I don't know what this margin is based upon, but it seems to me they missed it by a mile. The stakes are high, its the quarterfinal of the Champions League, and I expect a battle. The fact Mourinho is coaching the away team definitely speaks in favor of that, and one can expect him to try and get the best possible result for the rematch in his usual manner. In the previous round game between Chelsea and Galatasaray there were about 40 fouls in both games, Paris went under this margin against Leverkusen in Germany, in a game that was peaceful in the second half, but we saw over 30 fouls in the rematch. Things won't end in 45 minutes today, on the contrary, I expect a very tense game with at least 35 fouls. Under those circumstances this margin has huge value, and I have to play it with a bigger stake.

    The defense Valencia played in home games against Himki and Alba was borderline perfect, with maximum aggression and full court pressing, which left their opponents below 60 points. This match should not be any different, as the Spanish team are hugely motivated. They've achieved a lot this season, but the harvest is yet to come. They expect to get to the final of the Eurocup, where they will likely face UNICS in a direct battle for the Euroleague. Nizhny are very strong at home, and have regularly beaten their Eurocup opponents with a double-digit lead, so Perasović will not allow any relaxation. They will try to repeat the Alba story, well aware that any win below a 10 point lead leaves many issues open before the trip to Russia. Lukić, on the other hand, would happily accept a -10 loss, as Nizhny are much worse away than in home games, and have made up for the lag at home in both previous rounds. Even in the VTB league this year they lost to teams who are much worse than Valencia (Spartak, Lietuvos), and had a disaster in their last Spanish outing, against Bilbao. Defensively they are not as tough as UNICS to stop the potent offense Valencia have, and it's hard to expect their shooting to fail once again as against Obradoir, and although they are strong on offense, they will have to work very hard for every point here. Valencia will always be in contact, there will be no open shots, and I expect them to trace the route to the final today. Details

    Last Tuesday, we want for Strasbourg's under at Pau Orthez for this very same margin and the bet didn't go through on account of Collet's team getting 63% field goal. This was a result of Pau's performance and the same thing happened at their away game against Nanterre on Satuday after which their coach said the players were playing only for their stats with no desire in defense. Nancy have quite the opposite situation as their opponents have to handle the physique and power Falker and Pietrus have, and Stasbourg will have a tough task here. The margin is still too high as a result of last two games from Strasbourg, but their three games against Nancy this season show what we can expect today. In two games in Nancy, Strasbourg have scored 52 and 69 points, and 79 in Leader's Cup with 48 points in the second half. They also scored 68 in the pre-season friendly. Regular season is drawing to a close and every game is important so I don't see Strasbourg going over 80 points here. Nancy have not allowed over 65 points in last 4 games and they have their assets, and I'd say a huge chance or leaving Strasbourg under this margin. Details

    I have spent a lot of time deciding on this bet for one reason only - opting for a bet against Nymburk in the Czech league is not easy. However, I think Prostejov is highly underestimated here. Nymburk played in Ostrava a few days ago, we suggested a handicap then, but Nymburk didn't display too much will for destroying the opponent and in the end the point difference was only 16 points. First thing Nymburk need for beating Prostejov miserably is an extreme motivation, without it even the win could be at risk. The motivation in Opava was off and Nymburk were as a result down for three quarters and managed to save themselves from a defeat only in the last one. That kind of approach will not do here. It is expected the players to be more motivated against Prostejov, but not even that will probably be enough. Prostejov are in great form this season, they seem to be even better than in the last season, especially their front court which was the weakest link last year. They lost only once home - by four points to Decin a long time ago. They destroyed the three rivals for the play off in the last 20 days: Padrubice by 26, Decin by 27, and Opava by 29 points. A lot of teams lose the games against Nymburk before even stepping on the court, but not Prostejov. They honestly believe they can beat them, they've done it in the last seasons. Sincerely, I don't know what the bookmakers are relying on for this handicap, we had a 14,5 ahead of Nymburkov's away game in Padrubice and Decin earlier in the season, and Prostejov are much stronger. Nymburk have not covered this handicap in neither of those games, just like they didn't cover it in Opava and Ostrava in the last 10 days. Nymburk are now, that the international competitions are over, much more dangerous, they can beat any team in the Czch Republic, but the realistic handicap here is not over 15 points, I think. Prostejov are doing brilliantly home, they believe they can win here, and have nothing to stress about. They lost by 6 points the first game in Nymburk, the cup final by 24 points, but they proved they can handle Nymburk just fine in the second half time of that game. The arena will be packed, and I believe we could see an interesting game, and I simply can't miss on these 18,5 points, no matter the respect I have for Nymburk. Details

    Zalgiris and Neptunas were defeated in their semifinals matches and today's game isn't really significant results-wise. Games like those often have a revue character, and when the two teams that face each other are both offensively oriented, it's clear we should be seeing a great looking game. Yesterday0s semifinal matches were far more significant, but both ended under this margin, the one between Lietuvos and Neptunas at 178, and the one between Zalgiris and Rudupis at 160, with only 31 in the last period. I'm pretty convinced that today, we should see something similar, at least, maybe even a match at 170 points. Neptunas demonstrated their game style in the VTB League, in March against the offensively oriented Astan and Riga, they went over 170 points, and remained under only against CSKA, thanks to being powerless in the paint, and extremely bad shooting night (9/34 three pointers). On the other hand, Zalgiris played Euroleague on Thursday against the defensively strong Galatasaray and played a match at 156 points (33 in the last quarter), even though they had pretty humble shooting numbers. Before that, in the home matches, they went over 170 only against the Lokomotiv and CSKA. Neptunas and Zalgiris only played one match against each other this season, Neptunas celebrated with 81-73, so today, I expect a more efficient match and both teams to play more relaxed. They both like fast rhythm, and should be going for it, and they're more than capable of using open positions. I think this margin is at least 4-5 points too low. Details

    What Pau Orthez and Strasbourg have shown on Tuesday is almost impossible to happen today. Pau Orthez had a 54% field goal and Strasbourg had 62% and last 7 minutes saw 50 points, which contributed to the game ending in 173 points. However, everyone in Pai Orthez is aware that they can't allow something like that to happen today. If we look at the recent run of five league wins, defense was the key as Pau Orthez have not conceded over 75 points in any game. Looking at Nanterre's last 12 games in all competitions, they've gone over this margin only against Budivelnik in the Eurocup Round of 16 game. The situation is clear - the game is a huge priority for both teams. Even though there are some theoretical chances after the game, the defeated team will not see the play-offs and we can expect a battle for every point. Details

Considering the importance of the game, it could be decided with under 70 points for both teams and since I think ASVEL have a good chance, an under for the home team is the best option.     Celje surprised Vranjes' team in the first match, and they come to the return fixture in Germany with advantage. However, no doubt Flensburg are still a big favorite and a lot better team. A defeat in Slovenia will only motivate them from the first minute, since Vranjes is aware an uncertain beginning of the second half-time would bring a lot of nervousness and make the placement to the quarterfinals questionable. I expect his players to be top level defensively from the first minute, and control the match. This will be Celje's second away match in Germany this season, and they didn't fare well in the first one, in the match that had the most importance when it comes to results, against Lowen (half-time 19-12), where the home team didn't even play their best. Flensburg are still on that level right now, and will start the match seriously, try to get counter attacks with a tough defense, and create the difference in the result.
