In the first 5 rounds Prat have proven that they are much better now than last season. They started with 3 straight wins and then lost close matches to Burgos and Caceres. The main characteristic of the Catalan team is an average game in defense. They conceded under 70 points on average and hit a bit more than that. Their games finish at around 138 points. They proved just how good they can be in defense against fast-paced Burgos by limiting them to 73 and playing the game at 138 points. They played Caceres in the last round at 138 points. Against Clavi, who are not convincing in defense, they played at 130 in regulation time. They went over 150 only in the first two games when the game fell apart. I do not expect that happening today. They face Palencia, the defending champions, who are not at last season's level. I expect the home team to do much better than in the last season. Prat's key players are Forcada and Ortega, who used to be key players at Palencia so motivation won't be questionable. Palencia played at 159 on average and that is the consequence of high numbers against productive teams. Against defense-oriented Oviedo and Huesa they stayed low. Prat are better than those teams in defense and I think Palencia will have even more problems in offense tonight.
They were at 157 and 137 against Prat last season, and two seasons ago they didn't go over 141 in regulation time in either game. Details

Okapi and Limburg played 6 head-to-head games last season and stayed under 170 points (166) just once. Coach Ibens took over from Dean over the summer. He has been Dean's assistant for years and has clearly kept the run and gun philosophy of his predecessor. They have done like that in preseason and then the championship started. They played the defense-oriented Brussels to 150 points and then Willebroek at 167 points. The game with Liege finished at 172 and the one with Spirou at 186. Limburg United are Okapi's copy when it comes to game style. They are at 165 points on average this season, mostly because of the Liege game (158) and Oostende at 157. Both of those teams are defense-oriented. They played Kormend in FIBA Europe Cup on Tuesday. The Hungarians won 100-85. I went with an over in Okapi and Limburg, once at 173,5 and 169,5. The realistic margin is at over 170 because in Belgium there are no teams faster than Okapi and Limburg. Details

AEK are doing great in defense now. Their Slovenian coach has a recognizable style with defense-oriented defense. The team from Athens doesn't let go for 40 minutes. They conceded less points in the second half than in the first half on average. They played 4 official games so far. They first limited Koroivos to 57 in the Cup to win by 41. In the championship, they beat Apollon by 18 (limited them to 59). They limited Lavri home to 56 (won by 40), Szolnoki to 49 (+43) on Tuesday. They didn't let go in the second half as they allowed only 24 points, one less than in the first half. AEK have enough players, Zdovc uses a lot of them and it's no surprise their intensity doesn't drop as the game advances.
They will play Kymis who hit 93 points in the first round against Koroivos home. They won that by 23 but Koroivos aren't a representative team. They are among the main contenders for the relegation. They play fast and offense-oriented game. On the defensive end, they are very weak. They hit 69 points in the second round against Lavri, 62 in the Cup QFs against Aris. In preseason and earlier Cup stages, Kymis went over this margin but no opponents they played got even close to AEK defense-wise. Maybe only the AEK from Cyprus games can be compared. Kymis hit 71 and 64 points. They also played Panathinaikos and got limited to 59. Details

Melila won playoffs and the promotion for the top division but they failed to meet some requirements for it so the promotion didn't happen in the end. That didn't discourage them, though, The investments didn't get cut, coach Alcoba stayed on the team, the roster seems to be better than last season. But still, they didn't open this season convincingly as they recorded two defeats to Marino and Araberri. But they beat Palma hom.e The defeat to Araberri happened after overtime and the team was frustrated over it. That and some opening defeats is why I think the team will be at top level now. Guard Suka-Umu is back, forward Almazan as well and the team is now complete. Barcelona B lost all three games. The least convincing defeat was to Gipuzkoa on Friday home (-8). Before that they lost to Castello and Prat. All those teams are worse then Melilla. Barcelona B cannot stand up to them in any way as the team is mostly made of very young players apart from center Trias. They will be faced with Melilla's great front court. Gatell, Van Wijk and Manzano are there as well. Barcelona B's top player Peno has been at the first team this season and that is a problem as well.
All things considered, I expect Melilla to open fierce since they cannot afford another slip. Realistically, they probably couldn't have asked for better opponents. Barca B were at -19 against Prat home in the first round at half time. They were down by 16 against Castello and by 10 against Gipuzkoa. In the only home game, Melilla had +10 against the powerful Palma home. This is one of the toughest trips for any team in the second league and not just because the trip is long. I think the Catalans won't be able to stand up to the home team. Details

Spirou are the only Belgian representative in the FIBA Champions League except for Oostende, but I think at least two or three Belgian teams should be there instead. Spirou this season can't be compared to Spirou in the last or the season before that one. The new coach Bastianini came from Liege where his team played the run-and-gun ball, with a very soft defense, and now the same applies to Spirou. They started the Belgian championship with a home defeat to Liege (who decreased their budget over summer and don't belong to the Top 6 of the Belgian basketball). Liege won 91-68 and then Spirou lost to Brussels, and then barely beat Limburg, and then lost a home game to Okapi this weekend.
Those three defeats ended in 89 or more points allowed, and the win against Limburg ended with them having 80. They barely beat the third-league Sijsele (77-74) in the round of 16 of the Belgian cup. The team are completely new, their defense is weak, there's no discipline in the offense. To make things worse, their center Tumba and Iarochevtich are injured, and the starting back-shooter Shepherd is out, too. The center substitutes aren't bad, but they didn't show much at the beginning of the season, and I don't think they can match the strongest European teams.
The first one is Besiktas who assembled a fine roster, the coach Sarica mostly won the pre-season games, only lost to Partizan at the beginning and later to Efes. They started the Turkish championship with two routine wins against Kolejliler and Ušaka. They've got a lot of offensive talent, players like Roll, Weems, Thompson, and Strawberry, who can definitely use Spirou's defensive problems. They look much more serious defensively than the Belgians, and that's the biggest difference between these two teams. Details

Barcelona B lost the first two games of the championship as expected. Prat and Castello were too strong, their main player Pena was out, and he'll be out today as well because Barcelona's first team are playing the Euroleague in Kazan. Their main offensive problems are obvious, because their offense consists of juniors. The exception is the center Trias who hit 16 points against Castello last weekend, and added 15 rebounds, so he was basically the only one who did anything. Castello were up by 16 points after the first half already, and just had to finish the job later on. Gipuzkoa played a Basque derby against Araberrio last Friday, winning up by 15 points, mostly thanks to the great defense. The San Sebastian team will obviously be one of the best teams of the league defensively. They left Araberri at 54, they beat Palma in the away game in the previous round, 75-67. Palma are a very good team, much better than Barcelona B on paper. The coach Fisac pointed out that his goal tonight is to control the game rhythm, not be trying to outrun the Barcelona's boys.
Gipuzkoa are much more experienced than the home team, with players who have experience of playing the first league (Uriz, Pino, Šlezas), some who had important roles in their second-league teams last season, and considering the coach Porfirio Fisac's philosophy, I think Barcelona will struggle in this match. The Catalonians hit 51, 72 and 64 points this season. The 64 were against Castello who are one of the fastest teams in the Spanish second league. In those three games, Barcelona never went over 31 in the first half. Gipuzkoa, on the other hand, never allowed over 32 in the first 20 minutes in the championship. Details

These two teams met early last season in Bayreuth, where the home team suffered one of the worst home defeats ever. The visitors won by 40 points. It may not be logical to expect Bayreuth to win today but that is exactly what I expect. Braunschweig's coach last season was Korner but he left, as well as all the players. Main sponsors left too. Coach Korner took over at Bayreuth, who increased investment and want to make it into playoffs. So far, they are doing really well. They only lot to Ulm in overtime in the first round after having a great chance to finish everything in regulation time. They started a 3-game winning run after that (a win over Wurzburg home by 12 points, over Jena by 3 away where Alba nearly lost).

Nraunschweig are 1-3. They stood up to Ludwigsburg home on Sunday. We need to note that that was the second game in just 48 hours for the opponents. Before that, they did badly in Giessen and recorded the only win against unconvincing Rasta at season start. They played Bayreuth in preseason and lost 72-89 after a close first half (38-38). Bayreuth have gotten better since and mostly won in preseason and at the start of Bundesliga. I think the 40-point loss from last sesaon can only be motivation for Bayreuth. When it comes to quality, there is a huge gap between those two teams now. Details

Brose's coach, Andrea Trinchieri, says the same thing after every game, that he is happy with their performance but they have to play much better if they want to be competitive in the Euroleague, which they are starting on Friday at Fenerbahce, and they are facing Gottingen today. We can expect them to try and solve the game as soon as possible, like they usually do at the start of the championship. They were least convincing on Friday at Wurzburg, and they still won by 26 points. They started bad, they were down 7-18 in the first quarter, 10-20 later, and they finished the first half with 51-32 lead. Before that, in the first round, they defeated Frankfurt by 29 (first half by 9), Braunschweig by 48 (by 22), Tubbingen by 40 (by 23).
Gottingen are not as good as Frankfurt and Wurzburg, they did not have a bad start of the season, they defeated Hagen adn Ludwigsburg, but then they lost to Bayern at home by 31 (by 14 at halftime), on Sunday they lost Oldenburg by 12. They played well, but Oldenburg are not in good form at the start of the championship. Actually, no one is close to Brose who had 66-37 lead against Gottingen at halftime last year (ended 113-92), and in Gottingen Brose won 87-63 (47-30). Gottingen do not have a center, and the home team's aggressiveness will not suit them.
Everything here depends on Brose, their approach, and based on Trinchieri's statements and their performances so far, I have no reason to doubt that their approach will be maximal and in my opinion this game should be solved by the end of the first half, like in previous rounds. Since they will be playing Euroleague on Friday, this is just another argument in favor of halftime handicap. Details

Ludwigsburg made a big flop in the second round when they lost to Gottingen. Before that in an away game they beat the solid Wurzburg, and then they redeemed up to a point for the aforementioned defeat with two wins, over Telekom and Oldenburg. Today they're having an away game in Braunschweig and that's a new chance to grasp some points. Because of a couple of things, I think this margin is too low. The first and foremost is the quality of the roster. Braunschweig lost their whole team over the summer, their budget is lower, they started from zero by assembling players who were mostly in the second league last season, they brought some Americans from the NCAA legue, and it's hard to think they will be able to take on Ludwigsburg's roster. Braunschweig have a very short bench, a couple of Americans who lead the game and they have no subs. In the pre-season they were mostly heavily defeated, they opened up with a solid edition and by winning against rookies Rasta, but after that things settled in. Braunschweig don't have a lot of good options in the offense, they won't be able to deal with the opponents' pace who could use all 12 players in the rotation. The only counter-argument here could be the fact that on Friday Ludwigsburg played against Oldenburg, and because of the wide rotation and the start of the season, I don't think that could play a role today. Considering the shape and the difference in quality, I expect Ludwigsburg to win with a double-digit difference. Details

I expected a margin closer to 170 points, I doubt that in the rest of the season these two clubs will have such a low margin. The reason is clear. Both Willebroek and Okapi are, first of all, run and gun teams with no classic centers who are best in outrunning others. Willebroek, in the round of 16 against the defensively powerful Brussels, lost 78-98, and in the last final check-up before the start of the championship against the very firm Spirou it was 100-87 for the opponents. In the first round of the championship they lost to Antwerp 82-97.
There were matches in the pre-season in which they didn't do too well offensively, but some Dutch and French first-league clubs can't even be compare o Okapi who changed their coach, but not their game style. Okapi's 150 points against Brussels in the first round shouldn't fool you. Brussels are, like we said, defensively very good, they limited Okapi to low shot numbers, but they didn't slow them down. Okapi had about 70 shots from the floor and around 20 free throws.
Today I doubt Willebroek will be able to limit them, and then again, Okapi aren't a defensive force. For instance, in the round of 16 against the second-league Melsele they won with 102-83 (49-47 at half-time); before that in last test matches they beat Twolle with 100-77, Den Bosch with 111-69. They lost to fast-paced Bremerhaven with 84-95. Details

Doxa Lefkadas are the new first-league club who by half of September didn't even know they'll be playing in the first Greek league. Since Kifisija quit, they got a wildcard and then they had to set up their team from a complete zero. Their coach is Haris Markopoulos, last season's Koroivos coach who had to come up with a roster really quick. In the second round of the cup against Rethymn they played with juniors, they have completed their roster only a couple of days ago, mostly with players who don't have a club yet, and last ear they played in weaker Greek clubs. Coach Markopoulos points out that their practices in full line-up can be counted on the fingers of a single hand, they won't be ready at the start of the season, but they'll be ready for the 26-round marathon. What should be especially pointed out is the fact that they tried to cancel this match. They don't have a single preparation match, it's hard to believe they can be on a high level. PAOK are arriving with coach Markopoulos, father of the home coach who beat his son in three championship matches. Their roster is solid, but not close to Olympiacos or Panathinaikos. They're still good enough to make it at least to the fourth place. On Wednesday they nicely stood up to PAO in the quarter-finals of the Athens cup for some 30 minutes. Details

It's impressive to see how easily Brose are recording wins early this season. They beat Frankfurt by 29 points (+9 at half time), Braunschweig by 48 on Friday (+22 at half time). They played two other German teams at the end of preseason. They beat Bayreuth by 31 (+17) and Ludwigsburg by 19 (+16). They didn't allow over 63 in any of the games and never over 29 in the first half. As coach Trinchieri said, their focus is top level and since they are now focused only on Budesliga, they settle their games in the first 20 minutes. But they go full throttle throughout the game because they have enough players for that.
Tubingen opened the championship with a defeat to Bremerhaven and then beat Giessen on Friday. The visutors are bottom part of the table when it comes to quality. They did horribly in Bamberg last season (64-101) after being 9-31 down after the first quarter and 24-63 at half time. Two seasons ago, Brose were lead by Trichinieri and they defeated Tubingen in Bamberg 59-100 (25-51 at half time, 7-33 after the first half). Tubingen lost to Bayreuth y 18 and 14, to Frankfurt by 26, to Ludwigsburg by 25 (-14 at half time). Brose trashed all of those teams this season in the first 20 minutes this season.
Tubingen are somewhat better than Braunschweig, the win over Giessen is a rather good accomplishment but given Brose's form, their game and especially their defense, I don't see a way for Tubingen to stay close for a long time today. All handicaps (total, 1st half, 1st quarter) or team under at Tubingen are, in my opinion, good options. We need to take advantage of this part of the season before the start of Euroleague. Details

Barcelona B are a lot weaker this season than the last. Key people like Lakovic, Mbaye, Sulejmanovic, Barton and main scorer Garcia laft. Only veteran Trias and center Sena from Brazil could be mentioned as some more significant summer transfers. Out of those who stayed, Peno, Djedovic and Maziara are expected to show more. Their coach is still Alfredo Julbe who will also be leading Spain's junior national team. That's logical when you consider that this Barcelona is mostly a junior team. If you take out Trias, Barca's age average is 18.3. They had a lot of problems in the pre-season because a lot of the players had to fill up the roster of Barcelona's first team. They just played one official test match and they lost convincingly to Lleida (51-68). Today the additional problem is that Barcelona's first team are playing in the league round. Considering the big number of injuries, surely Barcelona's leader B. Peno will play for the first team today, and thus Sena and Figueras were also pulled into the first team.
Prat is also coming from Catalonia, but unlike Barcelona, they kept all the key players such as Forcada, Roso, Marti and Xabi Lopez. Seven same faces, and they strengthened themselves with the arrival of the experienced wing center Ortega who had a good season in Breogan. A lot is expected from Nikolic who came from Uzice. They took Moix, Barcelona's young hope. The most prominent new arrivals are Nikolic, Nogues and Sans, out of which Sans was the most efficient last season. Pre-season matches showed that Ortega and Nikolic will be solid. Prat mostly played against third-league players, and they beat Lleida from first-league players, quite convincingly in the last check-up in the League Catalana tournament finals (87-70).
Considering how many losses Barca B suffered over the summer, but also considering they will be weakened for three important players, including the best one, I think the odds for Prat's win is a lot bigger than the realistic one.
Except for the away team winning, a good option is also Barca's team under. Details

Burgos made some changes to their roster over the Summer, they kept two important players from last season, Martinez and Vega, and added a lot of new players, but mostly all experienced players when it comes to the Spanish second division. They acquired point guard Steinarsson, guards Lopez, Soluade, and their forward Brine came from NCAA division and he was great in pre-season. Their biggest acquisition is center Huskic from Huesca who dominated second division last season, and center Gibson fit in well. Burgos were a bit slower in pre-season, due to all the roster changes, and the tight defeats against Gipuzkoa and Clavi were not surprising. But as the team were playing together for longer their performances improved. They defeated first division side Caja Laboral (with a strong lineup) 73-68, and at the end of the pre-season they defeated Palencia, second division defending champions 91-82.
Lleida's coach Comenge decided not to use two players from the starting five today, Alzamora and Sutina who are clearly not completely fit and he wants to have them at his disposal in one week when they will face Caceres. They stayed in the second division only because it was expanded to 18 clubs, they were last placed in the previous season. They went through reconstruction over the Summer as well, acquired some players from the 4th division, Rupnik from Olimpija, Feliu from Palma, and Mbaye from Barcelona B. They do not seem impressive on paper, they played 7 public pre-season games. It sounds good that they parried Manresa well at the start, but their only significant win was against Barcelona B who are much weaker this season. They suffered two defeats to Huesca (76-87 and 72-87), and in the last friendly they lost to Prat 70-87.
This is not a crucial information, but in the last two away games, Burgos did not fare well. The similarity between these teams is that they made significant changes to their rosters, but Burgos have a better team, they are playing well together, and Lleida could not even compete against second division sides who are weaker than Burgos. When we add absences to that, I cannot see the away team parrying the right way here. Details

Braunschweig have, rather surprisingly, beat newly-promoted Rasta Vechta in the first round but they didn't leave a great impression. The shortcomings of their opponents are more the reason then won than their brilliant game. They had field goal efficiency of 35 percent and 24 percent three pointers. Like their coach said, Rasta were very nervous and his team was under no pressure. Braunschweig will be under no pressure today and there are a few reasons to believe they will not be able to stand up to Brose. They are the main candidate for promotion according to many German experts. I agree with them since the team lost all of the key players over the summer while the acquisitions aren't impressive (some players from the second division, some very young players, coach Korner left, they suffered budget cuts). All of that will make it difficult for them to stay in this league.

They beat Brose last year in the first round and lost by 16 points (25-48) at half time despite having a much better team. They were 27 points down in Bamberg at half time (28-25). Braunschweig were much better in previous season than they are in this one. For example, they lost to second-tier Chemnitz by 17, to Bremerhafen by 21, to Jena by 10, to Bayreuth by 17. Alba trashed them by 27. On the positive note, they stood up to Demir, Oldenburg but Borse are totally motivated and a complete different level. Brose beat Frankfurt by 30 in the first round (32-22) at half time. Before that, they won in Ludwigsburg by 19 (45-19), beat Bayreiuth by 31 away (43-26). They are fully focused on Budesliga now and I think they will settle this quite early on. Except for the first half handicap, team under at home team is also a good option, both first half and total. Brose signed a new deal with coach Trinchieri which means their game style will not be changing. They will still play a no-holding-back aggressive game from start to finish. They displayed that in the preseason games and recorded all 6 wins. The most representative among them were the ones from the last two tournaments. They beat Trento in Italy by limiting them to 63 points and then beat Milano as well. In Bayreuth they first limited the hosts to 53 points and won by 31 to (43-26 at half time). They went on to limit the even better Ludwigsburg to 63 (won by 19, 45-29 at half time). Radosevic missed the entire preseason and won't be there today either, Wanameker left for Darussafaka but the rest of the team hasn't changed. Some interesting acquisitions joined and the team already seems good.
Frankfurt lost all of their key players over the summer (Voigtmann, Barthel, Theodore, Doornekamp…), they have the youngest team in the league and most of the American acquisitions joined in the last part of the preseason. Head coach Herbert had a back surgery and won't be there at the start of the season. Scrubb is also injured. The preseason proved that this Frankfurt is not where they were last season. For example, they lost to Bayreuth home 61-75, to weakened Oostende in Brussels 70-75, to Cibona 64-73. They didn't go over 70 points in the last 5 preseason games and lost all 5.
They haven't done great in Bamberg in the last seasons. They got limited to 58 points and lost by 13 last season even though they were much better. Two seasons ago they were limited to 62 (-19), to 43 (-30) three seasons ago. In all of those games, Frankfurt managed to stay close in the first half but then fell apart in the second. Given where they are now, their quality and Trunchieri's philosophy, I think the total handicap is the best option. Details

This match is crucial for the Slovenians, and they'll have to stay focused. Slovenia beat Ukraine, and if they could beat Bulgaria for the second time, they'd definitely get placed to the EC, and could go to Ukraine on Saturday feeling no pressure. They haven't been defeated in the first group yet, but if they'd lose by over seven points in Ukraine, they could go down to the second place, so this win is important to them because it secures getting through to the EC as one of the four best second-placed teams if they don't end up as the first team in the group. Slovenia won by only five points in Bulgaria, even though they were leading by 13 after the first quarter and by three after the first half. They look much more convincing at home, and were up by 33 against Kosovo there, and by 9 against the strong Ukraine. They routinely beat Kosovo on Saturday, even though the Dragić brothers were out. Zoran left the team earlier, and Goran got spared to rest. The key Slovenian player is back today.
The Bulgarians lost their chance for the Eurobasket after losing to Ukraine on Saturday. That's probably why they let their main player Vezenkov (22 points against Slovenia, 17 per game in the qualifiers) to join Barcelona. The same goes for the starting point guard Bost. Marinov is also injured, so they only have one point guard. Besides the three of them, the important back Kostov is also out, he's injured and has missed the last two duels. The center Washburn will fill the foreigner position instead, he didn't play much for Bulgaria this summer, and hasn't at all in the qualifiers. The only away duel Bulgaria played so far was in Ukraine, and they were down by 17 after 20 minutes. Their lineup is noticeably weaker today, their motivation questionable, and Slovenia have a chance to secure the EC, clearly saying this is the match of the year for them. Details

Caceres are a Spanish second division side who were 9th last season, but were eliminated in the play-off quarter-final by Melilla. Their coach is still Nete Bohigas but they changed the team a lot. Jakstas, Serrano, Frutos, Mockford, all key players last year, have left the club. They will start their pre-season today, and they ran into problems already. Their key point guard Marco, Marcius and Page (who has been thrown off the team) will miss the game. Rakocevic and Nathanaelsson are the only new players who will have his debut today. Coach Bohigas said that they are far from the necessary form because of injuries, that this game has come too soon. They will clearly have to acquire more players. Sevilla have changed their name, they are now officially called Real Betis, they also changed some players. But Zan Tabak's team is solid on paper. In the friendly game against Andorra, which they lost 71-77, Tabak's starting five were Chery-Marc Garcia-Lockett-Nachbar-Zoric. There are some other interesting players, like Sanchez, Milosevic, Riga, Triguero, Radicevic, Stojanovski. They played two more friendlies, lost to Barcelona 80-88, and against Real Madrid but that one was closed.
So today we have a game against mediocre second league side who are missing some key players, with acquisitions from the 4th division, and no pre-season games. Betis are almost in their strongest lineup, they played three pre-season games, their roster is much better, and I don't think the second league side can compete with them. They played a friendly last year, Betis won 95-78, 52-36 at halftime, they played at Caceres who were complete. Details

Oostende are the biggest favorites to win the Belgian title this year as well. They are the top team in Belgium, but it's early in the pre-season and hey are not at their max. The main problem is that four players are away on international duty. Coach Gjergja cannot count on Kesteloot, Boukichou, Salumu and Buza, and Gillet is having injury problems so he did not play in the two previous friendlies in England. They lost to Tartu and defeated Bakken who are also weakened in the pre-season.
Gravelines changed almost the whole team in comparison to last season, but they started pre-season earlier than Oostende, and they already played 5 games. They acquired guard Gibson and Serron from Oostende. They acquired some other interesting players like Hesson, Cobbs, Celo, Keita... They have a good team on paper, and they have been improving with each pre-season game. They drew against Brussels, defeated Antwerp and Mons by 30, in France they lost to Le Mans and defeated Nanterre.
The official hosts today are Oostende, but the game will be played in Kotriljk and considering current form, team chemistry and quality of the players available, Gravelines are definitely the underdogs here. Details

Slovakia lost to Montenegro by 32 in the first qualifying round and to Georgia by 31 in the second one. We need to point out that those results are no surprise since Slovakia aren't a good team. Albania were 40 points down to Georgia and Montenegro but that could have finished much worse. For example, they allowed 73 points in the first 20 minutes to Montenegro on Saturday and later won the second half as their opponents held back. I think Slovakia are better than Albania regardless of their shortcomings. Albania were 29 points short of Cyprus by he end of first half, 37 to Estonia, 12 to Qatar, 31 to Israel B. Slovakia played some test games home against teams of bad quality but Denmark, Switzerland and Austria are much better than Albania. Slovakia beat Denmark by 10 in the first half, Switzerland by 13. In the last test game, they trashed Austria by over 20 points in the first half.
I expect the difference in quality to get obvious today, especially since spot 3 in the group is very important because it leads into qualifiers for WC 2019. The team that comes in 4th will not play those qualifiers but instead drop into division B. Slovakia and Albania will decide on spot 3 in h2h games. Slovakia will try and win this by as many points as possible to have it as easier as possible in Albania, Details
